I attended a wedding here and it was stunning venue! I loved the city as a back drop and it was quiet, even next to P&L. I can’t wait to see the wedding pictures from this place. So dreamy! The bathrooms were clean and the park was well kept. However, I’m glad it didn’t rain or anything because there was nowhere to take the wedding if it did!

Apparently, people don’t go to parks when it’s cold out. At least, according to Cordish, who manages the green roof park. It’s closed for winter. That’s right, CLOSED! Who closes a park because it’s cold out?! I’m pretty sure people still leave their homes and spend time outside when the temps dip below 50 degrees. I emailed them to try to find some logical explanation, but no one has responded yet. Why spend all that money to create a beautiful park, then shut it down for half the year?! In the meantime, my dog and I sit and stare out at our park through my window on this beautiful, sunny day and wish we could go run around. Poor Boomer will now have to settle for a drive to dusty Penn Valley. UPDATE: Ok, I’m going to settle in the middle of 5 stars and 1 star. While this park gets major props for its(usual) cleanliness and location, I still can’t get over the fact that 1. the bathrooms(that they spent who-knows-how-much-$$-on just to be able to open in the first place) are NEVER unlocked and the water fountain NEVER works, and 2. they close this park from October — April for winter.
