This b&b goes way beyond 5 stars! It is absolutely amazing! My husband & I had a staycation there. The décor is stunning! Theresa cooks you the best breakfast in Kansas City, hands down! The perfect place to get away for a night or two without the drive.

Another wonderful experience at the Jefferson House. Peter and Theresa are gems that make you feel like an old friend returning home for a visit. You will only be disappointed if you don’t stay here. Book a suite, like the Murdock, having the bathroom attached is a nice feature and the Murdock offers a balcony, along with a separate private living room.
Location is super, right off 35, and just blocks from the Power and Light district. One street over are several small shops/​restaurants. We can’t wait to go back!

Having been a noobie to b&b life I thought I’d book one for my husband and I. Seriously the best decision I’ve ever had traveling.
Peter and Theresa were amazing hosts! They were inquisitive in all the right ways and care to ask questions!
Lovely rooms — they even use and provide Zum products (local to KC) which was awesome to find out.
Then, the toughy– vegan breakfast. They knocked it out of the park with quinoa cakes and home fries. Perfect.
We also got to see her pottery studio and took the opportunity to get some souvenirs.
Can’t wait to go back!

This place is the embodiment of hospitality. The innkeepers are lovely, extremely friendly, welcoming people. The house is gorgeous. And holy cow, can Teresa make some breakfast. I don’t do mornings. I sleep in. But for this food, you find a way.

Prairie Village, KS
Remarkable hosts with an appreciation for art and the beauty of Kansas City. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and the proximity to things downtown is unparalleled. I’d certainly make a return trip should the occasion call for it.
