Bad Experience tonight: Fried rice was spoiled, other food items, sushi meat and rice dried out. Worst customer service, notified the server about the spoiled fried rice no response. Guess she doesn’t understand English or don’t care! Use to like this place way before, but never again!

This is the worst Chinese buffet I have ever been too. This is going to be my first and last time going to this place.

As inexpensive China buffets go, this is one of the best in Kansas City, Very clean, Mongolian grill where you can create your own meal, and the prepared buffet items are fresh and tasty. Above all they keep it’s very clean!!! Which is often an issue for these types of restaurants. Recommended for a good healthy meal. Try the Mongolian Grill, I like that part the best! I haven’t been back since they reopened, winter 2016, so I will update if the quality is different.

We live a block away and frequented this restaurant quite often before the fire last year.
We returned yesterday and were totally put off and actually afraid of food poisoning. Thankfully that did not happen.
Soup = flavored water, not like it once was
Crab = smelled off we tried a number of pieces only to leave them on the plate for fear
Crawfish = gray, moldy DO NOT EAT
Mussles = full of sand, cold, not warm, suspect of bio illness
Other common items are NOT what they once were.
It is a shame, but we recommend staying away until the owners sort out problems post fire.
Yes we tried to explain to the owners, but their understanding of English left us with the idea they had no clue as to what we were trying to say.
Sorry Mama needs a re-​haul to return to what it once was.
No one pains to say this more than us. We are in walking distance, but will not walk there again until we read other comments and assurances that the food is SAFE to eat.

We will NOT be going back after dealing with extremely rude staff there. I am not sure what the server’s problem but he started looking at my husband, myself and my 4 year old son in a very odd way. Then he came over to us and asked us if he was our son. I’m like ‘yeah, why?’ wondering what this guy’s issue was. Then he says ‘you guys are too old to have a son that age.’
EXCUSE ME???
#1 Why is that any of his business? I am 40 and my husband is 53… that isn’t that uncommon now for a man to get remarried and have more kids… and 36 is not that old to have a kid… heck, people are still having kids at 42 or older even.
#2 Why is that any of his business? It could have been our nephew or for that matter. our grandchild. Why does he give a damn?
You ask how old the kid is so you know how much to charge us… you do not insult your customers in that fashion.
We walked out and went to Hong’s Buffet up on Barry Road instead.

Average. The selection is fair at best but it’s all gladstone has in the way of Chinese Buffett. You can count on the same dishes every time on the line. Sushi is iffy. Price is high for the selection and quality. Hunan only offers single items is way we continue to come here,

OK, I’m torn on this one.
The food was decent.
The sushi was fine.
The service was friendly enough.
BUT, nothing is labeled and it it is, it’s labeled wrong.
The label that said cheesy potatoes was clearly chicken drummies.
There was no indication what many items were.
It was nearly impossible to figure out what was vegetarian friendly.
If you eat everything and anything, this place is a decent option.
If you have dietary limitations of any kind, go cautiously.
