I have not eaten at Mandarin’s for over 3 years. We drove by there the other day when we ate at Big T’s. This gave someone the idea to eat there today. It has gone downhill since my last visit. I shall never eat there again. First of all, the air was so humid and thick, you could cut it with a knife. It was very hot, and sticky inside. The buffet food was sporadic, and some of the tubs were empty. The white rice had a crunch on top, and needed to be recooked.(We had to ask for a fresh bowl which was bought to us). The crab rangoon looked fresh, and was okay, average. The chicken on a stick looked like it had been sitting in the bowl for awhile. There were about 10 of them. They were never replaced. Chicken balls definitely had been sitting there for a bit. The green beans weren’t fresh, they looked, well, old. I didn’t eat any. The pork looked disgusting. It wasn’t fresh. Nothing was fresh, it definitely needed to be refilled and freshened up. The sesame chicken was nearly empty when I got to the tub, and I checked back a second time, and it was even more empty. It was never replaced with fresh. The shrimp had been in the sauce for a while, it had that look to it. There were French fries, but they looked soggy. Even the iced cream in the freezer tasted like freezer burn. My son’s girl friend had to ask the hostess to refill my son’s drink. If I were the health department, they’d not have passed for several reasons. I’m not, so I’ll get off my high horse on that one. I am a nurse, and have been one for a long time, and food sitting out for that long is not healthy to eat. Not my idea of a Chinese buffet, and not what Mandarin’s used to be. I know, Chinese buffet food, but this was the worse of worse. Asking for everything from the server, thick humid air, and poor food makes me go, ilk. Definitely bypass this place, and go to Mama China’s. Mandarin’s used to be good, what happened?

I like this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, but good Chinese buffet. The food was fresh and very flavorful and the staff was friendly. There isn’t a lot to look at inside, so don’t expect fine dining. The booths were large and tables were clean. Definitely check this place out.

I used to eat here every Friday. I would call it in and pick it up to go home and watch movies. I rarely missed a Friday because I loved the creamy, crispy crab rangoon, the juicy seaseme chicken and general’s chicken and practically everything thing they had on their buffet. The fried rice was amazing as were the soups and other appetizers. Basically, I could happily eat everything on the menu, except the beef stuff because I don’t eat cow. But you know what I mean!
