McGuire Lock & Safe

I purchased an old Jaguar 2001 S-​type with no FOB and no way to lock the doors. After many dead ends to fixing my problem; the experts at McGuire Lock & Safe were able to reprogram a used FOB I purchased on ebay in about 10 minutes and for only $ 40. How great of a deal is that? Well the Jaguar dealer wanted $ 135 for reprogramming, but would not reprogram my used FOB only a new FOB that I had to purchase from them for an additional $ 245. What a rip off ($ 380 before tax), thankfully the friendly folks at McGuire got my FOB working and now I can lock my car. I could have saved some time by purchasing a FOB from them too, but didn’t know they sold them. I will definitely keep McGuire’s on speed dial for any future locksmith needs I might have. I would recommend them for this type of service.

We hired McGuire Lock & Safe to change the locks in our new house. Leading up to the appointment, we received great communication from them. They were able to accommodate us quickly, which was an important consideration for us. McGuire did a good job and the price was fair for the services performed. There was some pressure to buy more keys than we need din the end, but we would definitely use McGuire again.

These guys are so knowledgable and friendly. When I broke my key for my 2012 Escape they were able to cut me a key and get it coded in just a few minutes at a reasonable price. I’d go back any time!

I had a very bad experience with a different locksmith in KC a couple of years ago. I foolishly chose that one from its full page advertisement in the Yellow Pages. I was clearly ripped off.
So this time I checked carefully before trying a different one. I saw the five star rating of McGuire on Unilocal,and I saw that McGuire is top rated on Angie’s List. I was very happy with McGuire. In the future, I’ll stick with McGuire Lock & Safe and will ignore the paid Yellow Pages advertisements.

I needed to have a deadbolt added to a door as well as repairing a used safe I had bought. I looked for locksmith reviews in Unilocal and surprisingly came up empty! So I will save all you other Unilocalers from having to resort to the antiquated method of actually talking to people to get a recommendation. This is your place — McGuire Lock & Safe.
One of the nicest servicemen came over (big animal lover so you have to love that with my dogs and cat watching his every move) and easily got my safe up and running as well as identifying the issues with my deadbolt. He couldn’t fix the deadbolt that day but he called the following day to let me know that it was $ 400 to buy an exact replica or for $ 75 he could get me something that worked just as well. I love when a company doesn’t force you into the most expensive option. He came back a week later when the part arrived and ended up not charging me for labor for my «inconvenience» of having to wait a week.
Added bonus: they have a mobile van that will make keys on-​site.
