I had never heard of Poptopia until I took my niece to Boomerang and she saw and exclaimed, «Oh this is where they moved! We have to go in!»
Wow. This place is great. They have Crappy Cat, Family Guy, Domo, all sorts of funny little Pop Culture figurines. I so have to bring the hubby back here. This place is for kids and grown ups. Just an very cool selection of collectibles and toys.

The only Urban Vinyl dedicated shop in town, but it does it perfectly. It’s a small shop jam packed with greatness from wall to wall. If blind boxes are your thing, they have every line out it seems. Add a great selection of limited edition statues, prints, and original art, and you have a great niche shop serving their clients expertly.
I believe they may also do some swap nights when new releases come out, so you might want to join their mailing list to keep up do date on things.

I lived in the KCMO area about 4 years ago and moved out West so OF COURSE a great place like this opens up after I leave. I was visiting some family last summer when I came upon this place in Westport.
Great shop and the owner is super friendly and informative.
I’ve been buying stuff from him online since then and he’s a joy to buy from online as well.

I walk in there, from a long day shoping at Westport, And I find myself wanting to go in here. I had no idea what ‘Vinyl Paradise‘ Ment, But I went inside. It‘s a small store but, perfect for Poptopia! I liked there selction, I was impressed with the staff! I now LOVE Vinyl Designer Toys!

I’m all about the blind boxes – what an awesome surprise to get a unique figurine that you were hoping for! Of course if you get the one that inspired a more «meh» reaction in you (I’m thinking of the Union Jack Kozik Smorkin Labbit), you’re kinda SOL, but they are only 5 bucks, so try, try again!
I love this store and its vinyl figurine offerings, a la Kid Robot. They have a bunch of customs, too, my favorite being a Steampunkified figure in the middle case.
As their tag line says, «It’s urban vinyl paradise.»
Oh and they have plush, plastic, & wood figures/​toys, too.

Although Poptoptia is about the only place to find vinyl collectibles in town, they are still the best! Great selection and super awesome proprietor, even if you aren’t a collector, you’ve got to check it out!
