I headed to this back in August as part of a CMYE with my husband and son. I didn’t really want to pay the $ 15+ admission charge not knowing how much my 2-year-old would enjoy it, so I was excited when this event came up on the Unilocal calendar. We went and grabbed our tickets and headed inside. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the event. It was a true history lesson about something I knew absolutely nothing about! The artifacts were beautiful and the exhibits were also laid out nicely(also liked that some of them were interactive). The pirates walking around were a great touch and I appreciated that they had a few tokens for kids as well(my son still carries around his«gold» coin). So it definitely would have been an exhibit worth paying for and something my husband, son and I all enjoyed equally!

The guy who played Samuel Bellamy and walked around the exhibit was exceptional… He was full of knowledge and in full costume. He was my favorite part! There was a small amount of interactive things to do, but they were cool(knot tying skills, and able to touch real pirate money from centuries ago). It was a very reader-heavy exhibit.
