I would have to say Ronald McDonald House Charities is one of my favorite organizations to volunteer at. It’s a home away from home, for families to stay, as their children receive medical care in Kansas City-​area hospitals. I always think how lucky I am to be apart of such a wonderful organization that was built from love. There are two houses; Cherry Street and Longfellow. Each family has their own room or suite. Both houses have a kitchen, laundry room, family room and nice patios. Transportation to and from the hospitals.
I absolutely loathe sitting behind a desk. Instead, I can be found running all over the house, doing laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, whatever the house needs. Did I mention I am a house warmer? My favorite duty is walking Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean is the Director of Love and Compassion, he is the best dog EVER!
If you or your company would like to volunteer your talent and time. I would love to see you there. It’s an experience that will have you coming back.
