Tamra was GREAT! She was right on time, professional and the shop was beautiful. I would highly recommend Tamra to anyone wanting a perfect hair experience.

The service was awful and I had the worst haircut of my life. The stylist did everything I asked her not to do. I will never go back!

I think that if u are one of those types that isnt married to a certain hairstyle or has no idea what u want then maybe this is the salon for you. However, If u have a specific hairstyle in mind, this salon may not be able to give it to u especially if u want to deviate even a little from how that cut is typically done. I came in with pictures and ended up with a haircut that looked nothing like the pictures I brought in. I was uncomfortable from the get go and I guess i should take some blame for not speaking up more forcefully when I was made to feel uncomfortable early on. I was a first time client. The stylist, Stormie, faced me away from the mirror until the very end of the cut. I said twice it made me feel better when a stylist goes slow and lets me face mirror so I can follow along and provide input as needed. either she didnt care what I had to say or was too rigid in her methods that she couldnt adapt. who faces a client away from the mirror during the entire cut?! My haircut shouldnt have been a surprise to reveal. I should have been allowed to participate from start to finish. Later on as she was finishing up the styling and finally faced me towards mirror I was very disappointed but it was too late at that point. Certain sections had been cut too short. I was facing away from mirror most of the cut and had no idea what was being done to my hair. what kind of stylist cuts hair that way?! And then after i began to get teary eyed, a nearby more senior stylist tried to fix it a little but it was clear it was too late. He seemed incapable of even adding some flippy, piecey outer layers to my sides. Instead I have this heavy tapered in chunky top half. He said the only way to do this was thru using razors and to slice away at my hair. Ive had stylists put in piecey, flippy layers before without using razors and just using old fashioned scissors. It can be done with a good stylist who knows what he or she is doing. this salon just doesnt have a group of stylists that are well versed in different techniques. they are very rigid in how they cut hair and if u try to ask for anything done differently than what they are used to, u will be left with blank stares or be argued with. Not only that but I was insulted repeatedly at the end. I was told that my old stylist(who moved out of area a couple years ago) must have been an unlicensed stylist since he cut my hair using techniques they werent familiar with. Really?! U know, its possible there are multiple alternate techniques for cutting hair and just because u arent familiar with some of them doesnt mean they dont exist. What else? Oh, I was insulted for having an opinion. I was told I had no right to suggest they cut my hair using alternate techniques than what they used and that my opinions were not very important because I wasnt a licensed trained stylist like them. I knew what would work for me perfectly. I’ve been having a say in how my hair looks since I was a young teenager over 20 years ago. I think I’ve picked up on a few things that work for my hair over that time period. I dont claim to be a pro stylist but I know that when my hair is cut using certain techniques and Im allowed to chime in when something needs to be changed I feel better. I knew from past experience that if a stylist starts from the underside of my hair and proceeds to outer ends then the bottom will be just perfect. However if u do like my stylist did and randomly jump around and all that I cant follow along and see how things look before it is too late. I really like the bottom of my hair in this sharp, angle with underpart really short and outer bottom part really long. But what did I get? A single big chunky piece that is all the same length. I knew that to get this just right a stylist has to start from underpart along neck to outer part. But of course, they said I didnt know what I was talking about even though I did. Im sure people have gotten excellent cuts here but if u have any quirks regarding a cut that is a bit unusual or if u have any pet peeves or anything that is a deal breaker for u regarding ur hair, dont come here. It is their way or no way. If u dont like ur hair thinned out or u like ur hair cut to a far right side part because that is how u always wear it, dont come here. They get easily offended if u correct them or are too opinionated about what u do & dont want. They cant handle a client that knows exactly what she does and doesnt want. They dont react well if u tell them to do something differently than what they are used to. In some salons the attitude is, the client is always right and they will bend over backwards to accommodate u even if what u want may be a little different or unusual. Basically this is a salon that has a very rigid way of doing things and has an attitude that u are the ignorant client and they are the expert all knowing pros that know more than u in all areas(even if it is ur hair and u know its texture best.)
