This piece of Chicago-School Architecture is about as close to a Louis Sullivan building as we have in Kansas City. Designed by Root & Siemens in 1907, this is one of the best hidden architectural gems in Kansas City.(Just check out some of the pictures I posted) They don’t make them like this anymore. The security team may not be too keen on you taking pictures around there(without permission) but I just told them I was interested in architecture and they were OK with me wandering around the lobby. Most people have no idea this is downtown along with the shiny new attractions like the Sprint Center and Power and Light District. Go give it a look, it’s amazing.
