Sky’s Limit has been so good to me and my husband. I have been going for 6 months now, and I’ve progressed so much from when I first got there — when I told Ronnie I couldn’t even do a squat without hurting my knees. The coaches have helped me modify the high-impact knee stuff to accommodate the chondromalacia patella in my knees, he helped me ramp up into CrossFit slowly after my heart surgery in January, and while I’m still not the fastest/strongest/toughest person in the class, I’m miles ahead of where I was when I began. I have a lot of work to do, but I’m just so grateful to be able to go several mornings a week and get a little stronger every single day. This is a CrossFit box that puts enormous emphasis on great form, working out in a smart way, and pushing yourself past where you think you can go, but not past where you actually can/should.

What an amazing gym. I’ve learned so much working out here, and you feel so supported by this community. You learn every lift and movement you do from seasoned professionals, and they watch you to make sure your form is correct. You’ll push yourself harder than you ever thought possible, and you will NEVER. GET. BOARD. Results are inevitable. Go see Ronnie, you won’t regret it!

I hate the gym. I’m the person who signs up for a gym membership on January 2nd and quits by March. Sorry regular gym goers. Your disdain is justified. I hated lifting weights because those machines are confusing and specialize to muscles I don’t even know I have. Dance style classes turn uncoordinated me into a wrecking ball. Treadmills and ellipticals are a constant battle with boredom. At first glance, CrossFit is the last thing I’d like. You lift heavy things and do really tough workouts. Your muscles ache the next day. And, worst of all to pre-Sky’s Limit me, people talk to you. Eye contact? At the gym? But, oddly enough, I love it. There’s no negotiating with yourself when someone else writes the workouts. You push yourself harder when you know you’re in it with everyone else and people are cheering you on. And boy, is it ever satisfying to lift 100 pounds over your head and throw it onto the ground. It’s fun, and I am constantly seeing progress in how much I can lift, how high I can jump, and how fast I can go. Coaches Ronnie and Jesse do a great job of encouraging you to push yourself, but never past the point of your abilities where you’ll get hurt. Everything is scaled to your level. Even as someone who has a long history of loving food and hating exercise, I never felt like I was failing or getting in the way of the ‘real’ athletes. The coaches and other CrossFitters take the time to help you out and never make you feel stupid.

Been Crossfiting all over the US for years now. Sky’s Limit is in the top 5%! Staff very professional and accommodating and regular members very friendly. Box is clean and well thought out. Go and get your butt kicked in a good way.
