This would have been 4 stars because my husband said the tacos de carne asada were outstanding. We liked most of their salsas, the habanero was really spicy. My issue was that I ordered a bean and cheese burrito(three times, in Spanish, which I speak fluently). No rice, no lettuce, nothing but beans and cheese. When I get my burrito home, it is pretty much just rice, I could not really detect much else, maybe the rice was held together by some beans, but if so, I could not taste them, not could I find any cheese. I was hugely disappointed and will try one more time, hopefully they will get it right as my husband really liked the tacos.

You have to eat here! Whether you speak Spanish or not, if you’re a fan of great food for amazing prices then you’ll fit right in. I usually get the fries tilapia but my husband loves just about everything. Afterwards, go across the way to their grocery store and pick up some delicious chicarrones!

This was probably my least favorite stop on our taco tour of northeast KC, but still not bad. I had the chorizo taco, which was a little dry. Everyone else was similarly happy, but not overly impressed with their tacos. There’s not a ton of seating, but the staff did the best they could for our large group. As mentioned in the other review, there is a bit of a language barrier, but nothing that can’t be overcome with a little patience.

It helps, when you come here, if you speak Spanish because not every waitress speaks English. I usually opt for the pollo torta(chicken sandwich). It comes with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño, and avocado. For $ 5, it’s huge! I could only eat half. They have fountain coke products or bottled soft drinks, including Mexican sodas(made with real sugar). They have recently added freshly brewed iced tea, both regular and pre-sweetened. Great wait staff. Very attentive and courteous.
