My hubby and I took our little Kai for their Dippin’ Dogs event. We liked the facilities. So did Kai. I really liked that they created an event that is dog friendly. So many dogs running around. I really liked that they separated the events for small sized dogs and large sized dogs. I think we’ll come back again next year if they offer it. Kai rated it 4 paws… and that’s great. Thanks for having this awesome event.

If I’m going to undertake near public nudity, i.e., a bathing suit, then this is the place to do it. This suburban water complex has pretty much everything you could ask for: a lazy river, two large water slides, a smaller zero entry children’s playground and an Olympic size lap pool with diving boards. The only troubling part about it is the consistency of the staff when it comes to enforcing the rules. During the height of summer, on some days there are some lifeguards that insist that you have an inner tube in order to float in the lazy river. Some days, the lifeguards don’t care at all. Personally, I just prefer to float in the water most of the time, but when I’m sniped at for doing so, then I’ll just avoid it. In the meantime, when they do decide to enforce this unwritten rule, and grown adults are daisy-chaining inner tubes so that the lazy river is at a virtual stand still, then it’s a little annoying. These minor inconveniences are really just that – minor. I would love more consistency, but when you catch the rare day when a daycare bus hasn’t pulled up and dumped the screaming hordes of preteen humanity on the pool, then it’s pretty great. Ample chairs, lots of different areas and early morning lap times and lazy river resistance walks offer swimmers and sun worshippers a lot of options. All of this is great, but the single greatest thing that they do each year is actually not even for the humans, allegedly. No, the greatest thing they do is Dippin’ Dogs, a charity event that benefits an animal shelter. For $ 10, your dog can come splash and play with a couple hundred other dogs. It’s the dog park on crack, and it’s worth showing up for each and every year. This year they separated the time into a small dog vs. big dog session which was a very smart plan and helped the whole day flow better. If you’re a germaphobe, then maybe skip Dippin’ Dogs, since I saw several dogs relieve themselves in the pool, in more than one state of matter, but as they say, dogs will be dogs. All the more reason to give the pooch a bath at home and call the summer done.(This is the last day that the pool is open and they drain and sanitized the pool for the season afterwards.) Overall, I’m happy to have this pool complex within easy driving distance for the rare occasions that I choose to indulge in public scantily-cladedness and potential skin cancer.

I’ve never visited The Springs before this summer and we will definitely be back next year. Super reasonable, clean, friendly and huge. I think the concession stand could use some menu upgrades, but other than that, I’m a fan and can’t wait for next summer!

Excellent for the price! Summer hours are 12 – 8 mon-fri 11 – 8 sat-sun. We have attended several twilight admissions. $ 3 off after 5 pm, you still get three prime hours to swim! The day crowd had tapered off and getting chairs is not a problem! They have a Olympic size pool with both regular and high dives. A awesome childrens aqua structure, zero entry kiddie pool area and lazy river. The kids also loved the two tall water slides! It is not as big, crowded or as costly as OofF or the unfinished Baughn. I will pick this cute water park over its bigger competitors any day! We are actually considering season passes next year! $ 60 each before May 15th! Well worth the price and pay for themselves in just a few visits! I have told several friends about the location and what is has to offer! Great place! Great price!

Excited to see what A MILLION gallons of water looks like, we headed to the water park. The website points out family fun and as the record heat seems to be over we grasped at the last straws of summer and jump in. It’s worth getting their early. From Memorial Day to Labor Day the park is open from noon-8 during the week and 11 –8 on weekends. We picked some super prime spots on the edge next to the lazy river and the big slide. The kids headed toward the tubular monstrosity and us adults took on that lazy river. We’re not sure if it’s because it’s the end of the season but the clique claimed the water slide, lame, we confirmed as we saw patrons moving slower than us as though it was a heavy gravity day. In between laying out and checking on the kids we visited the attractions. The bathrooms were clean and the pools waters looked clear until about 3 p.m. when the lazy river had a bit too much sunscreen mixed in it. ew. So, we headed toward the competition pool, which is HUGE! Recalling my diving form from swimming lessons, I did my best to look cool diving in. It was cold but refreshing and so clear! We tread water and ‘people watched’ some awesome diving board skills. As of now, there are several price points but if you should take advantage of the coupons offered(Entertainment book, groupons, etc.) Also, there are a lot of lifeguards that take their jobs seriously here, I was impressed with these kids’ dedication to keep everyone safe. In the end we were tanned(the adults not the kids) and happy, feeling we squeezed a bit more out of summer than we thought.
