Vic’s Moving does not keep its promises. We hired them based on their promise of spending extra time and effort wrapping all furniture and protecting all floors. They did wrap some of the furniture, and that’s where the good service ended. Their crew did not put down pads or paper or anything to protect floor on either end, and was is an unbelievable hurry — they literally ran in and out of the house and truck with our furniture. In their haste they left furniture willy-nilly in the wrong rooms, including two sofas *upside down* awaiting the feet to be screwed back on. They never got around to putting the feet back on, and once all the furniture was physically in the new house — but not in the right rooms– they announced they were finished. The crew was really rude and reeked of smoke, so instead of insisting they stay to figure out where everything was, we were happy to see them gone. After they left and we started carefully arranging furniture ourselves, we realized they had gouged the cherry floors in our new home. We contacted the owner, Rich Bitterman, within 72 hours of the move, and were told we only have 24 hours to file a claim. USDOT mover regulations give families nine months to file claims after a move, but Vic’s refuses to repair our floors. I have moved cross-country with loads of my grandmother’s antiques four times with no problems, and never expected a move of 1.2 miles to be so problematic. ADDENDUM2÷6÷15: Four months after the move and tons of hassle later, escalating insurance claim to the top finally garnered a check to repair the floor. Thank you.

Vic’s Moving has provided me with excellent, prompt service twice. Both times an office move. They were timely, and the movers were careful and very responsive to my requests. Rick, the manager or maybe owner, is very quick to get back to me and has been super accommodating when my schedule changed. Their prices seem extremely reasonable also. If I ever move again, and I hope I don’t, I will used them. It was amazingly low-hassle, both times.
