This a nice little park, consisting of several paved paths, several benches, and a good concentration of trees(lightly wooded, one could say). It offers a nice few of the downtown skyline and is across the street from Union Station and the World War I memorial. It is very nice that there is plenty of parking — metered spots on one side, and free 2-hour parking on the other. All the times I have been there, there has been very little litter.

This small enough to be overlooked park, dwarfed as it is by Liberty Memorial, Union Station, and Crown Center, is a great green space housing both a grand equestrian statue of George Washington as well as a recently erected(September 2011) Missouri Korean War Memorial. As a note, there is a Missouri Korean War Memorial in Forest Park too. They should coordinate their efforts so that everyone isn’t trying to be «the» Missouri memorial, you know? :-) A quiet walk or a place to remember our war dead, and our first President.
