Another shop closing… durnit. I’m on their email list, and as far as I know, March is the final month they will be open. I think they may be selling fixtures and things during April. Not sure if there are any deals going on, but there may be as the end of the month draws closer. Go say goodbye, and pick up a bottle of wine!

I love wine, even though I’m no where near knowledgable about it. This store and its employees make me feel like I know what I’m drinking and what I should pick out. :) They are always willing to help you find what type of wine you are looking for, based on your personal tastes, food you are pairing it with, or the person you want to buy the wine for. Besides having a great selection, if you are a huge wine fan and drink it regularly, you can join their«Wine. Club» for $ 30 a month. This gets you a bottle of their monthly special wine, a discount on your store purchases, and invitations to events like tastings. This would be fun for a couple or if you are more interested in learning more about wine. Maybe as I get older and have more excess income, I’ll consider it, but until then, I’ll be happy with my occasional bottle whenever I have a whim for a great cabernet. :)

The foodie in me squealed with joy as I entered this very serious wine shop that dedicates precious knowledge into a luxury product. I adored how everything about this place fit together like pieces to a puzzle, making a glorious picture of pure deliciousness. Wine, wine, and more wine – reds, whites, pinots, cabs, and merlot’s of high quality together at last. Nothing in here is cheap, if you want cheap wine there’s Cosantino’s a block away. But for good wine, splurge a bit and be satisfied. It’ll be worth it. Though they do sell half bottles for those who are unsure of spending more than $ 20 bucks on a bottle they’ve never tried. The staff here is small and friendly. They know a lot about what they sell, some being sommeliers in previous lives. Needless to say, with all that wine know-how, it’s easy to see why they’ve been surviving during the tough economic times. In true foodie nature, they also sell various foods that are wine related including crackers, chocolates, and cheese. If it was still summer, this would be the place to stock up for picnics or outdoor get-togethers. Now that it’s winter, what’s better than being cozy with a glass of your favorite, a book, and a blanket? Sounds good to me…
