Bank of Hawaii

Very displeased with the service of the assistant manager. I spoke with the assistant manager, Mark or Mike, and he informed me that he could not complete my business transaction (which was a simple exchange) due to the fact that it was too large of an amount. Then he said that they don’t take larger amounts due to the fact there could be counterfeit money in the stack. To which I replied that the bills can be marked to see if they are real or not. Apparently, they don’t carry counterfeit pens (at a bank). That seemed reasonable at first but then I spoke to my superior who informed me that she does the same exchange at the same location when need be. Now if the assistant manager was discriminating because I accidentally grabbed the wrong bank bag (First Hawaiian) before I left my store, then I would deem that very unprofessional. That is exactly what I think happened as there was no other reason. He said he would be happy to exchange $ 100 or less, but what’s the difference if eight different people come in for change. I now know why we bank elsewhere, business wise and personally. They should consider a change in the ranks, some of the tellers seemed a lot more capable.

Just bought a place in Kapolei with my husband, and we are so happy to have found a convenient location for our local bank. The teller I went to was extremely courteous and very helpful!!! Great hours as well!

Not Happy!!! Made 3 deposits at ATM in branch Friday evening & still not processed. They say next business day which would be today but telling me will be after 11:00 pm. I could’ve just gone into branch this morning in that case. Stood in line waiting then at tellers window for 20 mins while manager processes ATM deposits only to be told he then had a customer & that they couldn’t help me after all. Terrible customer service.

Line moves fast here. I was waiting one Saturday morning before it opened. A line started to form at the door. Someone came to open the door and that’s all she did. WOW. Some of these old ladies were standing at this door for over 45 minutes. Not a good morning? Hello? nothing? That was disappointing.

I love this branch. Even though the lines gets long at times the manager always opens a window. They are friendly and professional. I wish the Waipahu branch was like that.

The tellers are always friendly! I love this branch MORE THAN the actual Bank of Hawaii branch in Kapolei Commons.
