Bead It!

My favorite crafty store! I have been coming here pretty consistently for about a year now and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They have so many cool little knick knacks to look at that i spend maybe an hour looking at everything (all sales are final so I have to be smart with my desicions!) I’ve been to the other stores on the island (Kailua and in Town) but I pretty sure this one is my favorite, with the Kailua one being a close second because they have different charms and Whole Foods is right across the street ^_​^ I wish it was a little bit on the cheaper side but I understand, plus they send out discounts quite often if you’re on their email list which keeps you coming back for more!

I frequent this place often! Took lots of classes and have made lots of stuff! It’s great! The ladies who work here are always pleasant and helpful. The instructors know a ton and are always helpful even with questions that aren’t relative to the specific class you may be taking. My life has changed drastically since discovering this place! I buy most of my stuff from there because I trust them and I know they hold high quality items. It does get pretty expensive though so I try to order stuff online as well so I don’t go completely broke! But considering how much you can flip specific items for you make back your money in no time! I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is interested in beginner jewelry making! They will make it so easy for you!

I have taken several classes here. Shannon is my favorite instructor, very helpful and laid back in her teaching style but super informative too. She stayed later after every class to let us shop or help anyone out who still needed instruction. Anytime I have gone in she has been more than willing to show me a quick technique if I am stuck or answer any questions about any of the number of tools I have purchased from them. All of the staff is super friendly and willing to help out. If you sign up for 4 classes you get a $ 25 gift card right now and with any class you also get a 20% off discount for that month. All-​around an excellent place for classes and supplies! In fact I am heading there later today!

Love this little gem. Since I am a concierge at the jw marriott I was able to visit this place with my team and had an amazing time. You’d be surprise at the deals and offerings they have for a store located in Kapolei. I love going here to get my bangles since they are reasonable priced and easy to add my shells to. I do believe I need to take advantage of their classes when I get the chance because I want to learn how to make those other bangles via soldering or something like that. If your into jewelry making this would be the perfect combination with Ben franklins

My first contact with Bead It! in Kapolei was via email. I emailed to ask if they offered a particular product and they responded promptly that they had what I was looking for. The next day I went to the store and was greeted by a friendly staff. I enjoyed perusing their ample supply of beads and jewelry making supplies. The store was clean and well organized. I will be back :).

I purchase beads from this store today and as I was putting my things away at home, realized that I was overcharged significantly. I called the store to let an employee know and see what I could do. The employee was very rude to me, and was almost accusatory. I am also a business owner and would be ashamed if one of my employees spoke to a customer in that manner. Shame on you Bead It! for treating a customer this way. I will not come back to your store again!

Greeted as soon as I entered by young, chipper sales associates. «Hi, Hello, Welcome!» They had my «hold» items and remarked that those were the last ones. Gladly accepted my BEAD IT Unilocal discount of 15% for checking in. Excitedly told me they just got their Unilocal sticker. Very sweet girls. Good location, easy and accessible parking, friendly staff, bountiful merchandise, and air conditioned. Five stars!!!

I have personally taken a few classes here just for fun. The fun has turned into a part-​time hobby of making earrings for friends & family. The instructors are very helpful and patient. (BTW: Great taste in music!!) They ensure that you create a product that you will be proud of wearing. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs an outlet. If anything, take a class and do this for yourself. I love creating jewelry for gifts & I have yet to meet someone who does not like them. They have quality tools and equipment, make the investment & purchase them. You get what you pay for, as in everything else in life. This store rocks & so does their excellent staff and instructors!!! Thanks to you I can create some pretty unreal jewelry!

Bead It is my go to bead store because they carry a lot of pre-​drilled shells and glass. I used to frequent the Kaimuki location when we lived in town, but now that we’ve moved to the West Side I’ve been going to the Kapolei store. Both stores are about the same size but the staff at the Kapolei location is much more warm and welcoming. Sometimes it felt a little «stuffy» at the Kaimuki store :-/​
The selection is great, although the prices can be a bit high. I do order some supplies from the web, but like to support local businesses as much as I can. Plus, the findings at Bead It are high quality and you know what you are getting!

I love Bead It and as a store they offer the best classes and materials, but Kapolei has the worst customer service! I usually go to Kailua even though it’s on the opposite side of the island.

Yes! The Westside has a lot of crafty people and I’m totally ecstatic they have a bead store in Kapolei. Workers there are ALWAYS awesome. They got the Gotye station on Pandora playing which goes so well with the bead making mood when you walk through those doors. What I absolutely LOVE is that they have a little toy area for your children to play and stay occupied while you get those creative juices flowing in your head and shop. I never go in there with my children knowing that there are lots of tiny things they can touch and knock over but one day I had to make a stop to pick up a few items with my son (who can never keep still). I walked through the doors and my son and I was greeted immediately. The girls whisked my son to the little toy area and totally got him interested in the toys while I could shop for my toys and not worry about him touching all the tiny beads. SUCH A BIG HELP!!!
They offer jewelry making classes which I took up and loved because the instructors were of course AWESOME! They explained each step so well and now got me making my own jewelry =) The class is located in the back of the store and at times can get filled fast but I never felt overcrowded.

This was my first time in this store and my first time working with swavorski crystals so I didn’t know much. The sales person who assisted me was extremely helpful, friendly and easy to talk to! She asked what type of project I was doing and told me what tools I would need to make it easier and even gave me a few tips!
So why the 4 stars?
Their prices are a little more expensive and the crystals were only bagged in 50’s, not 144 like most places. I will probably price around now since my husband bought me $ 200 worth of crystals which seemed like a lot for what we got but I may be returning to purchase other items or specific colors if other stores do not carry them just because the customer service was over the top!

I just started to make some jewelry and decided to check this place out after going to all the Walmart, craft supply stores on the island. By far the BEST on the island. If you need anything I am sure they have it.

Friendly, helpful, patient staff!

I don’t make jewelry but this would be a good store to buy supplies. I found a couple of nice, inexpensive pendants that I like to switch out on different chains the few times that I’ve been to this store. They have lots of different beads, chains, and other supplies. Customer service is ok.

I made the drive to Kapolei Bead It in hopes of finding a long bead board and turquoise beads. When I walked in the door the two salespeople were with customers. I walked around the store for a good 10 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. The salespeople were still with the same people. I was very turned off by the bad customer service and left the store empty handed.

And that is saying alot considering Ive been all over the US in different bead shops. Their class selection is wonderful and always expanding while their teachers are very knowledgable! The employees are always happy to chat with you and even the owner gets his hands dirty! Unlike some bead stores where they pratically ignore you when you walk in. I love the parking situation as well, easy for me and the truck. Conviently located right off Farrington as well!

I really enjoy this shop. It’s small but has a really great selection, knowledgeable and HELPFUL staff, a Keiki Corner with puzzles and toys and they offer classes.
They have a very large selection of Swarovski for really great prices, and they will even sell in bulk at a discount. A decent selection of semi-​precious beads. A pretty fair selection of seed beads.
Their needle selection seems to be lacking and they don’t carry much in the way of gold filled anything.
I have had nothing but positive experiences and I think their prices are comparable to what I can get online.
