Craig’s Air Conditioning

We decided to have our split A/​C units professionally cleaned in order to maintain their performance and prolong their lifespan, but most importantly to optimize the quality of the air our family breathes in our home.
Sooo glad we chose Craig’s Air Conditioning. We couldn’t be more pleased with every aspect of their service. Everyone from the office staff answering the phones, to the technicians who performed the work, to the owner of the company were incredibly friendly, courteous, and professional. Thanks to Noah, JC, and Chris for doing a fantastic job!

Derek did a great job providing us with so much information. Craigs Air Condition accommodated us by scheduling installation much quicker than other companies. Their excellent service made it easy for us to choose their company over 4 other companies. Craig was on hand during the installation to make sure everything was done right to our specification and answered any questions while work was being done. Keoni was so polite and treated our house with care when he was doing the installation. They even helped put our furniture back for me. I am so happy with our new air conditioner. We had Keoni and Noah from Craig’s Air Conditioning come to troubleshoot our master bedroom split A/​C unit. They were extremely informative, helpful in their recommendations and demonstrated professionalism throughout the visit, I was thoroughly impressed with the promptness of their service call and will surely recommend them to anyone needing this type of service. I will definitely contact them in the future for our A/​C needs.

Needed all our split A/​C units cleaned. Found this business through a val-​pak flyer, and after calling the business was impressed by the level of telephone customer service. We had a LOT of units that needed servicing in one location and they offered to help us out with the overall cost (WOW!) if we didn’t mind a call back after she talked to the owner. They were scheduling for about a few weeks out, so it was fine since we wouldn’t be doing service for a bit anyway.
Got a call back a few days later saying they could give us a discount if we did do service for all the units at once. The discount was great and we really needed the service, so we said «sold!»
But this review is mostly about the work in the home. Can’t say better about the telephone customer service, but you call these guys to come to your house and not talk on the phone, so here it is.
DOs:
+Appropriate workforce: they sent 3 guys to handle the amount of units. I like this because it means that we aren’t stuck all day in the house.
+Clean: the guys put down plastic, covered those few things that were moved away but that they just wanted to take extra care about (electronics, etc.), and were careful to spray cleaner specifically on the unit. Cleaned up after themselves. Totally self-​contained. Very careful about the chemicals, which was nice given that the little one was running around at the time. Nice to know you can have people around when they’re spraying stuff (no, don’t go right up there and inhale, but you don’t have to leave your house or go outside). When they left, we pretty much didn’t know they were there, except for the lovely, clean A/​C units!
+Honest: some of the A/​C units were dirtier than others, and the guys said that if we didn’t want to clean all of them it maybe wasn’t necessary. However, we knew that although it might seem clean on the outside (I went at ‘em with a brush and cleaner, but couldn’t get deep in), the units needed a cleaning where you couldn’t see it. A lot of companies would’ve cleaned stuff that didn’t need it and not said anything, so we appreciate the honesty, even though we did want them all cleaned.
+On time: Um, what it says. :)
+Hard working: they stopped once for a break, but worked through lunch because they said they thought they’d be done soon. Wow…
+Quality control: most experienced guy checked the work, and even resprayed/​recleaned where he thought it was necessary.
+Thorough: more than once, I overheard «nah, I can get it more clean than THAT» after the guys looked at the unit when the spray was washed off. How nice is *that*?
+Fast: They finished faster than we expected, but based on what I observed, it was because they were efficient about it all and not because they were cutting corners. We like that.
+Helpful/​Respectful: they offered tips on when to clean the units, what kind of maintenance we could do, and what to look for. Friendly and respectful of our stuff and our family. Came in uniform; no inappropriate t-​shirt slogans/​street wear. No swearing, no «off» language, no yelling, nothing negative. Pretty much just a bunch of nice guys working hard on cleaning our A/​C units.
+Honest pricing: COST IS PER JOB/​UNIT, NOT PER HOUR. Sweet. Super sweet. We know there are other companies out there who start charging an hourly rate when they step out of their door, not when they step through yours (you know who you are) but not here. We love honest pricing, and really loved Craig’s for running it in a way that is understandable (like at a mechanic, etc.).
DON’Ts /​MAYBEs:
Don’t have one.
But there is STUFF TO KNOW:
*The A/​C units will run. A LOT. To test pressure, etc. So if you’re freaked out about the electricity getting used, you might want to relax about that a little before they get there. We aren’t used to every A/​C unit in the house running for most of the day, so it was a shock for us at first. Not a dealbreaker at all, tho.
Bottom line:
Would use this company again. Family-​owned company (the lady who called us back said she was the daughter of the owner, and there really IS a Craig…), which we love. Local company, which is even better. We love local companies who hire local talent and grow local talent. Nice people, great value, experienced employees are sent out with anyone who is at all inexperienced (like that they don’t send out somebody who just graduated and cross fingers), professional all the way around, and good at what they do.
