Best customer service! Lorrine and her team are prompt, clean and efficient. This review is long over due. Had the shutters for four years now and it still looks great. It add a special touch of class to your home. It’s great for people who have allergies because it doesn’t get dusty like curtains!
Do yourself a favor and upgrade your home with island shutters!

We first had Island Shutters do an install in 2004. When we moved we immediately called back in 2006 and again in 2008 when we moved to our present home. We never had a minute of regret and It appears we will be moving later this year. At the very top of my list is Island Shutters. They did a beautiful job each time and we always get positive «oohs and ash» from visitors. This is a first class operation and we never consider anyone else. We renovated our home in 2 phases (upstairs and downstairs). We built a second story on our existing home and later, replaced all the windows on the first floor. We were very undecided about window covering and after talking to several friends, decided on shutters. Lorraine came to give us an estimate and educated us on what would work best in our home. She guided us and gave suggestions when needed. We were glad to not have to wait 6 — 8 weeks for the shutters to be ready as you would if they were ordered from the mainland. The shutters are locally made and very good quality. Cheryl called to schedule for both of our installations and was always very pleasant to talk to. Lopaka came both times to install the shutters and did a fantastic job! Overall, we were very pleased with the service and professionalism of Island Shutters. We will recommend them to all of our family and friends.

Outstanding local company providing top notch customer service for an incredible product. Met Mark at a home product show, and he helped us understand why shutters would be a good fit in our home. Lorraine came to do our estimate and advised us based on the layout of our home what would work best, never overselling us but instead professionally consulting us as kama’aina. Lopaka came to do the install and worked efficiently and with a genuine aloha spirit. Last but definitely not least is Cheryl, the traffic coordinator behind it all… making sure we were updated on when team members were coming, when payment was due, and just overall that we were valued customers. Sorry to write such a bad review but first impressions say everything. VERY POOR customer service. Lorraine came out and did all the measuring. This is a 10k job we are talking here. It took them forever to get back to me. After a week of not hearing a peep out of them, I finally call the office and speak to Cheryl. All I wanted to do was give them my payment info so they could get started on my custom shutters. So sad. I’d be furious at my staff’s lack of motivation to capture a sale if I was the owner. I will take my hard earned money else where!

I had my shutters done in 2005. From start to finish, estimating/​consulting to work completion was flawless. Awesome company, very professional. Glad to read they are keeping up the good work. I am already planning on them to do our next house.
