We come here occasionally for date nights. I prefer the call ahead method just in case we plan to go on a Friday or Saturday nights. Our most recent dinner I did a call ahead for 745 and we didn’t wait long to get seated. Me and my BF’s favorites: –the free bread: get is warm and fresh! –Aussie Cheeese Fries. Sometimes you will have a lot of fries with just the right amount of bacon and cheese. Other times you may have less fries and less cheese. I guess it’s a hit or miss. –mild chicken wings: packed with lots of flavor. Juicy and goes well with bleu cheese dressing! –strawberry lemonade and/or mango lemonade: sweet and refreshing. –Grilled chicken cobb salad: i got this with the caesar salad dressing which is made fresh. The dressing is so rich but flavorful. –Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla: lots of cheese but I love it with the honey mustard sauce. –Prime Rib: BF got it with the mac and cheese and side of rice. Take a slice of prime rib and eat it with the mac and cheese… its a perfect combo! Service is good. It just depends on which server you get that night. My family likes to also come here occasionally for celebrations like birthdays. Parking kinda sucks but you can park in the area where Kazoku Sushi/Starbucks/Jamba Juice is.

Can’t eat at outback without getting the blooming onion, taste was a little salty but still good. The parm crusted chicken was surprisingly good. Who would’ve thought you could get a good chicken bish at a steakhouse. Also had a 8oz sirloin that was perfectly cook. The wait staff was attentive without being pushy or a bother. Overall a good dining experience and will eat there again.

My boyfriend and i came here for dinner on a friday with last minute reservations and got seated pretty quickly. Our appetizers were decent but they did forget our sauce and didnt give us any plates. No biggy, we asked and they brought it. Then our main dish arrived, we ordered the porterhouse cooked medium. The filet side of the porter house was cooked decent and the other side was so hard and tough we could barely chew and swallow. I’m not exaggerating i swear! My boyfriend hates to complain, so he literally chewed and spit full pieces of meat out and tried so hard to believe it was edible. I couldn’t watch him chew and spit another piece of steak anymore. Our waitress got the manager and they gave us a 6oz sirloin with veggies to make up for it, which we appreciated it. Had i of known the most expensive cut on their menu turned out to be a cheap sirloin cut i would’ve ordered that instead. Anyways, we appreciate they did a little something and we probably have zero desire to go back. Cattle company campfire feast for $ 46 is waaaaay better tasting and a fantastic deal… now we know!

Tucked away in the rear of the town, sitting quietly in the same block as Home Depot and McDonald’s is Outback Steakhouse from down under. More than sufficient parking. We were able to be seated immediately. Service was exceptionally good. Menus were brought over. We agreed to take water to give us time deciding what to really drink. When that was brought, our order was taken. I was asked if I wanted the appetizers served first. Oh yay I did. THEWALLABYDARNED® $ 7.00 The famous Australian peach bellini. A frosty combination of peaches, champagne, SVEDKA® Vodka and DeKuyper® Peachtree™ Schnapps. I needed to be refresh and this accomplished it. It tasted like I was eating a peach from the tree. Ice blended cooled me down quick from a hot day. Exactly what I needed right now. Coconut Shrimp $ 5.99 Hand-dipped in batter, rolled in coconut and fried golden. Paired with Creole marmalade. Couldn’t really taste the coconut much but It was still crunchy. The creole marmalade was a nice pairing to sweeten the meat even more. Tomato Mozzarella Caprese $ 4.99 A combination of chopped tomato, Mozzarella and basil served with grilled artisan bread. I love the tomato, mozzarella and basil combination. This was a nice contrast to the firm, crunchy toast, grill marked. You could taste the burnt bread but not overly done. Just enough to get it. Brought all together with the vinaigrette sauce. The bonus to this is it cleaned your palette preparing your taste buds for what is about to come. Pork Porterhouse $ 18.99 I ordered medium well and it came out perfectly. You have a choice of 2 sides for this dish. We chose baked potato with full toppings and steam, white rice. Seeing the glistening meat as it was brought over, I all ready knew this would be good. Not too firm, but very juicy. Taking that first bite, letting the juices spill in mouth, was so good I closed my eyes blocking everything around me to enjoy. Somethings in life, that is that good, is that simple. I could have eaten the whole thing myself but I had to share. That was the deal. Naturally Skinny ‘Rita $ 4.00 100% Blue Agave El Jimador® Reposado Tequila naturally mixed with real citrus juices.(Under 150 Calories) Normally, this is $ 7.25 but it was still happy hour. Hence, why I went for a 2nd round. Tequila was a little strong. Not a problem. Let the ice melt a little and there you go. Smooth and refreshing. A nice drink to exit on. They don’t have military discounts but they do for AARP members. We forgot ours but they were forgiving and gave it to us anyway. Didn’t I say service was good here? I believe i did. Service was consistent. We were checked on a few occasions if we were okay, needed anything and to refill water. Our wait staff was pleasant and carried a smile every time she talked to us.

Couldn’t decide what do eat for Easter Sunday so we made a last minute decision to come to Outbacks in Kapolei. It’s close to home. Placed an online reservation on the website with a chosen time. When we arrived, they said we were not on the list. I told them I was confirmed and showed them the confirmation email. Because it was a holiday, they were not accepting online reservations. I was bit confused and bummed. However, they were very accommodating and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. We sat at the bar for a drink. Appetizer: Crab avocado stack. It was alright, added some salt and it was a bit better. Dinner: I had the ribeye and baked potato. I ordered medium rare and it was more medium well. It was okay and the baked potato with all the fixings was enjoyable. I ate half of the steak and took the rest home for lunch the next day. Final thoughts/Conclusion: I’d come again for a last minute meal, a craving for steak and when I don’t want to cook(which is not very often).

I love the outback!!! And so does lots of others the wait can be very long but always worth it. I love the bread and always order the blooming onion! There have been many times that I crave it so much I call a take out order just for it! I am a very picky eater so I only get the lobster topped mahi and the toowoomba pasta. I have never been unsatisfied with my time there. The waiters do their best but the place can get pretty busy. Their lava flows are great too. Overall this is my go to place when date night comes around.

Visited Outback Steakhouse in Kapolei last Sunday for lunch. The waiter, Joshua was really attentive, friendly and it helped that he had manners. The food was delicious, my steak was a little over done BUT the rest of my food was good. Good customer service and good food, I will be back

30 minute wait on a Saturday evening for a party of 5… sounds about right but I believe we waited for only 15 – 20 minutes. The parking lot fills up pretty quickly, but people here are so full of aloha that they point out there car to let you know that they’re leaving so that you get a parking spot. I love that! The manager(possibly proprietor) was at the front hostess stand to extend a warm welcome. Everyone from the hosts that greeted us at the door, to the host that seated us, and finally our server were all very pleasant. Jeremy, our server is probably one of the best servers that I’ve encountered in a long time. He’s very attentive, professional and just genuinely friendly. Now, for the food/drinks! My sister and I tried out their new Huckleberry Hooch Moonshine Cocktail. I’m not too keen on fruity frufru drinks but it was alright, if you crave for a sweet fruity cocktail. I liked the presentation of it though… mason jar and some fruits, maybe a little too much fruit though. I usually order a small appy, a house salad and an Outback special, but the menu has since changed. And so, I thought it was a great opportunity to change things up from usual order… kinda. I still got a half order of Aussie Cheese fries but instead of my outback special I got the new Grass-Fed Burger(medium) and substituted the fries with steamed broccoli. The fries are always a hit with my taste buds, especially with their special ranch sauce. The burger(sans tomato & onion) was tasty but oily and the sauce was too much. Need to ask for either sauce on the side so that I could dress it appropriately, or ask for light sauce. I love that they have steamed veggies for side choices. Unfortunately, we were so full that there was no room for dessert,

This review is for two visits in the month of December 2015. I figured I would wait to write a review about bad experiences to give the place the benefit of the doubt, but even though time has elapsed I still feel poorly toward this place. So we showed up with no reservations, and we(party of 2) ended up waiting an hour and twelve minutes to be seated, when we were told it would be 30 – 45 minutes. We decided to stick it out because we were committed after the 45 minute mark. What upset me about this whole situation was a group of 7, with no reservations, were seated about 10 minutes before us, and I was told it was because of the seating arrangements they could provide them with. During that whole wait, not once were we asked if we were ok, or if we needed anything. I was sitting right next to the greeter by the way. When we get seated they have just two types of steak available, this is 7:50 in the evening! Always packed, no parking, and not getting better… they are always packed with customers so customer service does not need to be a priority apparently. Take your business somewhere else.

We went yesterday. Fat Tuesday, and I made reservations from my phone while we were pulling into the parking lot. We got into the restaurant and we were greeted and asked how many were in our party. I mentioned that I made reservations just in case they were SUPER busy. Cool thing about technology is my name was on their list already! Pretty cool. We were seated right away. I liked our waiter/server and I wanted to like him more but there were a few tiny, and I mean tiny things that could have made our experience more enjoyable: 1. He said he’d bring us wet napkins. But he never did. 2. He never refilled our drinks or asked if we wanted to refill our drinks. 3. He kind of forgot about us. He has a very likeable personality and was attentive as he could be. We will come back in the near future. Wouldn’t mind having the same server again. Our bill was 65 dollars & we left a 12 dollar tip(would have been 15).

Last night we got in at 5:30PM and there was no waiting, we chose to sit at tables at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Our server had just gotten back from 3-weeks in Vegas and was in good spirits. Prices are not bad… Its a chain restaurant from Mainland that sometimes has killer deals on steak dinners. The food is pretty good. Too often, after we ask them not to, the steak is too peppery(spicy) for my lil dude, but they usually try to make it right. Went last night for Australia Day and a free appetizer. Can’t go wrong with the Bloomin Onion! tried the Caprese Salad… not a fan! The Balsamic Reduction was way too sweet! By 6PM they were out of rare prime rib(Seriously???) 12oz Ribeye was plenty big for two and came with two sides… that with our appetizers was enough food and took some home. Overall its the go to place in Kapolei when we don’t want to cook and want a steak dinner.

Sat down down pretty quick and got a table for 5. Prices here are pretty high so be sure to spend a pretty penny. They give complimentary bread and offer water right when you sit. Our server was pretty right on it when taking our order and helping us. Everything tastes awesome tonight! Our entrees took some time to come out, but it was worth the wait. The only down fall is that it’s pretty dark and you have to really go close to the light to see your food.

Went out to dinner with hubby to celebrate the end of the week(why not, right!?) and we decided to hit up one of faves: Outback. We started off with the Crab & Avocado Stack(comes with tortilla chips) and a Wallaby Darned each. I ordered the Porterhouse Pork Chop with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a Garden Salad and hubby ordered the Victoria’s Filet Mignon & Crab Cake. My salad didn’t really have much dressing, although I requested extra of the mustard vinaigrette. That is the only thing negative I have to say. We both enjoyed our meals, our servers were very attentive and friendly, everything was very clean(including the bathrooms), and the cocktails were just right. This turned out to be a nice night out with the love of my life. I recommend the Outback in Kapolei!

Pros: The dessert trio, amazing and great pricing $ 9.99 for all 3 which are not mini by any means, one of these is a standard dessert at other restaurants. The grilled old bay lobster that accompanied my sirloin was fantastic and cooked perfectly. The chopped salad still very good. Cons: the steak quality and flavoring has gone down. My husband got the filet with lobster(his does not have good flavoring either, but was tender — $ 42) mine was the sirloin(the original outback special which used to taste better than their filet and had great flavoring, was now chewy and flavorless — for $ 19.99 with a lobster– I guess you pay for what you get?

Date: October 25, 2015 Location: Outback Steakhouse Kapolei Reason to go: Dinner I arrived at Outback Steakhouse in Kapolei and noticed that there were a few groups of families waiting to be seated. I approached one of the lady employees and asked if the bar area has any available seats. She says that the bar area is open seats. I walked towards the bar area and noticed that two sides of the roundabout bar has been filled with customers. I walked to the one side where there was a seat available. I was greeted right away by a female bartender and asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered a Ketel screwdriver. I’m surprised she didn’t ask for my ID. I looked over the menu and placed an order of a bowl of clam chowder. The bartender asked if I wanted the bread to go with it. I said«Yes». I received the clam chowder bowl and bread at the same time. The clam chowder was very delicious. The bread when it is warm is delicious with the butter… once the bread gets cooled down it becomes very dry. While I was eating my bowl of clam chowder the bartender asked if I needed anything else. I told her«not right now». I finally finished my clam chowder and bread. I watched her and one of the waiters remove the bowl, utensils, and cutting board away from me. At one point while the female bartender was washing some cups at the sink area of the bar I had to ask her if I could place an order. She said«Yes». «May I order the Firecracker Salmon.» I said. «Do you want the veggies with it?» said the bartender. «Yes I do,» was my reply. The lady bartender puts in the order of my Firecracker Salmon. I think I waited anywhere from 15 minutes to 30 minutes for my dinner to arrive. When I received my meal it looked delicious. I took a bite out of the salmon and it was tender. I was expecting the salmon garnishes to be a little bit on the spicy side since it’s supposed to be Firecracker instead it was mango salsa. Overall it was an okay experience. The wait time for food could use some adjustments though.

The wait for a table was 45 – 50 mins at 6PM on a Saturday night but ended up having to wait over an hour. The hostess kept bringing the people who were waiting for a table free samples of appetizers though which was nice. The waitress was really nice and attentive… At first. There was a table of 25 that was being served that came after us so our waitress let us know that if we needed her, to just flag her down because she would be serving them as well. It took her a long time to come back and ask if everything was OK or if we needed anything. It took SO long to get our food. We got seated at around 7ish PM and then we didn’t leave until 9:15 and it didn’t take us long to eat so I feel like we waited another hour for our food to be served to us. The food: The calamari was food. Bread was good. The fettuccini Alfredo with the chicken, shrimp and portobello mushrooms(which I had to add) was delicious! My husband ordered a filet mignon and lobster tail… The filet mignon was cooked well done when he asked for medium… But he’s not a complainer so he didn’t say anything to the waitress and he didn’t want me to. A different waiter who brought us the food didn’t bring the lobster tail and said he didn’t know we ordered that so my husband had to wait another 10 minutes for them to bring him his steamed lobster tail. The macaroni and cheese side he ordered also wasn’t ready which came 5 minutes before the lobster tail. He didn’t want to start eating his steak until all of his sides were ready so his steak wasn’t hot anymore by the time he started eating. My daughter’s burger was overcooked and the bread it was on was HARD! I didn’t notice it until she was halfway done with the burger. She’s only 4 years old so she didn’t complain about her food… I just knew something was wrong with her food because she was taking forever to eat the burger when she usually inhales her food. I told her she didn’t have to eat the rest, which she didn’t. My son’s baby back ribs were good though(or so he says, he’s not very picky). For a bill that came up to $ 115, I was extremely disappointed.
