Simple yet tasty shaved ice choices. They give you three flavors to choose from. The quote pricey but its to be expected here at Disneys Aulani

While nice to have pool side with lots of flavors and I’m sure I will get another during my stay. This felt much more like a snow cone of the mainland vs what I typically call shaved ice of the islands.(I did see them shaving it but the texture was not what I expect for the title shaved ice.)

This is shave ice inside Disneys Aulani resort by the pool. It is very good. Better than some of he other shave ice places on Oahu. The flavors taste less sugary and more authentic and the ice is shaved so fine that it keeps the flavors very well. Thumbs up.

The last time I was here in 2012 I remember the shaved ice being more the traditional Hawaiian way with no big ice chunks like the typical snow cone however I was very disappointed when I had it this time it was very icy with huge ice chunks and the syrup was too thin and there was not enough on it. I would recommend going somewhere else for Hawaiian shaved ice unless you are okay with ice like a snow cone.

I think this place is probably considered fine for tourists staying at Aulani, but the shave ice was frankly not very good. Maybe because we came close to when they close at 5, but the service was brusque. Additionally, none of the shaved ices had anywhere close to enough syrup. I’ll chalk that up to the rudeness of the girls working there and give them the benefit of the doubt. Under other circumstances where they weren’t so visibly ticked off, maybe they wouldn’t have been so stingy with the syrup. The syrup itself wasn’t flavorful. If you’re happy with banal sugary shave ice, you’ll be fine here. I’d encourage driving somewhere else. Not very good.

My first experience with shave ice in Hawaii and it was a positive one! I got shave ice from here twice while staying at the Aulani resort and thought it tasted great! I loved it so much I had shaved ice here twice, each day I was here. It was not expensive at all. About $ 4 for one with 3 flavors and the cone is a pretty good size. I was expecting it to cost more being on a Disney resort. You can pay extra for condensed milk and ice cream, While this ended up not being the best shave ice on the islands, it was soft enough and the flavors tasted great, not weird artificial sweet. It definitely hit the spot on a hot humid day in Hawaii! The shop closes earlier in the day and you can use your room to charge to your room or you can pay whatever method you chose. Do not go out of your way to come here as there are many other shave ice shops in Honolulu far better, but I do recommended coming here to get your daily dose of shave ice while staying at the Aulani!

The shaved ice is small compared to other places off the resort but they are still yummy. Condensed milk, sugary syrup and ice… What else could you want? I want another one right now

BEWARE: shaved ice place is located INSIDE the Disney hotel. Parking is free for the first 30 min., but it is just enough time if you ask for directions and walk fast to find the place and make it back to the car in time. Past 30 min., is $ 10 an hour. Shaved ice wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t the best I’ve had on this island. Doesn’t beat Island Snow.

Pretty disappointed with Disney on this one. Every single flavor is made with artificial dye, even vanilla(which, inexplicably, is blue) and haupia, which is supposed to be white. Other shaved ice places offer at least one or two flavors made without artificial dye. Time to catch up with 2015 and offer an alternative for those of us who care about this sort of thing.

My little boy loved it here. Yes, it’s probably not as good as the other local shaved ice places in Oahu but for Disney, it’s not bad. We stuck to the tropical flavors: Guava, Lilikoi, Lychee etc. This place was able to fulfill our sweet tooth and help us stay cool in the gorgeous, hot weather in Hawaii. My little boy loved it. The lines could be long but it went by pretty fast. The prices were also pretty decent. The only thing that would make it better is if they provided spoons with the shaved ice but other than that, everything else was fine. We will be back here soon.

There’s nothing special about this shave ice: artificial flavorings, coarse ice, limited selection. The shave ice at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club are significantly better!

Had the shaved ice several times while down by the pool at Aulani. Nice & refreshing treat on a hot pool day.

For the price you get a great portion of delicious shaved ice that can feed 2 – 3 people. A must try flavor is the«sweet and sour plum» but on the menu its in Hawaiian(forgot the name?). Passion fruit(lilikoi) is a great flavor too! This definitely hits the spot when you’re beachside on a hot sunny day:)

This is one of those places, you might have a hard-time rating it. From a pure shave-ice provider, they get one star. Quantities are a joke, flavors are limited, and they only give you an ICEE straw with the tiny spoon on the end. Seems minor, but I was really missing a plastic or wooden spoon. They also pre-make their shaved ice,(which isn’t the finest to begin with) so it tends to harden quickly after the syrups are applied. In light of all this, the negatives stack up quite high. But when rating it as a Disney food offering«imitating» a local treat, the prices aren’t outrageous, and they do offer basic flavors and toppings. So at this point I’d make this review 3 stars, but their service seemed less then stellar, especially for a Disney establishment which I had to knock off a star. The folks behind the counter weren’t really friendly or nice. I recall one lady always asking customers for their receipt in a louder, monotone kind of voice. Felt like I was in a school or prison cafeteria dealing with a disgruntle and unhappy café worker. For some reason I got that vibe from various workers there at Aulani. They just don’t seem as friendly as those working at Disneyland & Disneyland Hotel.

For 3.75, this shaved ice place in Aulani hits the spot. It can feed 2 or even 3 people. The shaved ice is very thin and the flavors are very good.

Don’t listen to the review that said the ice is crunchy. This is soft, beautifully smooth shave ice and it’s BIG.

This is a simple shack that sells strictly shave ice! I believe it is at Aulani because it was part of making the resort have a local ambiance. It it has your basic shave ice with just the syrup but Disney even went the extra mile by offering snow cap and ice cream! Awesome I say! Ok, so it is not the bestest, fluffiest, shave ice but it cools you down at the pool! Plain kine(just syrup) shave ice starts at $ 3.75. Even with all the options it will be just around $ 5.00. PS. Thanks Great Grandma Yamada for getting baby Natalie some shave ice! Unilocal31 Day Challenge #28/31 Cool down at the pool!

Papalua Shave Ice is no Ice Garden, but it’s pretty good! You can expect longlines at Papalua, as many guests flock here for a frozen treat to cool off during a hot day by the pool. Prices start at $ 3.75, but can add up quick with add ons. Ice cream is $ 1.00 more and/or add $ 0.50 for«snow cap» which is basically a hefty topping of condensed milk. The«Papalua Rainbow» is $ 5.25, though I have no idea what this is, as you can get quite a few flavors with the regular. The fiancée and I’ve tried the watermelon, lychee, lilikoi, guava, mango, and lemon-lime flavors here. Lychee and guava barely have any flavor, so don’t bother, but mango and lilikoi is good, and if you like green river, lemon-lime is a winner! ;)
