Prices are steep for such a small portion but their tacos are the best I’ve tasted on this island.

I never tried it because I didn’t get served. I waited in a chaotic line and was next to order. The person took the order from behind me, after he told me ur next. That pissed me off so I left. What was more upsetting, I was the only person in line and they took the next person that walked up. Keep in mind it was lunch and no shade. I do spend $ 100 for different offices at least twice a week as a salesperson.

Standard Hawaii-style Mexican. Lots of beans and rice in the burrito, but unlike chipotle on the mainland, you can rarely find the meat. Tacos were OK, too. But nothing good enough to make it stand out from the other pseudo-Mexican places in Honolulu.

I used to work at authentic Mexican restaurant in Japan so I’m a little bit picky about Mexican food. I had tacos of carnitas with salsa verde and it was MUYRICO!!! I’ve never thought I got to eat authentic Mexican food in Hawaii. I wish they had a restaurant so that I can eat their food everyday!

Tried this place yesterday. Wooh lawd, I am so happy. I intended to write this review yesterday along with pics but I totally swallowed my two pork tacos. Excited to try everything else. The service was friendly and helpful, fresh and tasty food, very reasonable in price. Next review I will resist to swallow before taking pics.

Even though it’s only $ 1.50 for pork tacos it was not worth it. No flavor, needs salt or some kinda seasoning.

Went to Kapolei and found the taco trunk that I saw on Unilocal.Got there at 10:45am and they were already serving. I was the 4th person in that group that ordered. I wanted to try the $ 5 burrito, BUT just my luck it jumped to a $ 7 burrito. I guess $ 5 deals were just a teaser prices till they get you hooked huh? Anyways I was already there, so I just ordered it. I prepared myself to wait because like what other Unilocalers posted«your gonna wait!» It’s was fine(thank goodness I was off and not on a lunch brake). Remember I was 4th in line the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th&6th person got their order AND I WASLAST! Really? I guess chicken is longer to cook then pork/steak?!(Sarcastic voice). The 5th person had a burrito too, I’d be pissed if that customer had chicken too. That’s why I’m confused. I get that the tacos are a little bit faster. Food: chicken burrito=good flavor; hot sauce(green) really? Where’s the HEAT??? If that’s your hottest, please come up with a ghost sauce or something with a Mexican kick to it. My GF& I halved it and we were satisfied(small eaters). I’d come back to try other stuff(hopefully the price doesn’t go higher next visit). Ohhhh and NOT ordering any CHICKEN stuff. It’ll be pork or beef!!!

After a hot morning in the park with your littles in a soccer game, heading over to a food truck just seemed natural. Located between the Kapolei Library and the kapolei regional park, sits their truck from 11−3pm. It was 11:10 am and it wasn’t open. Normally it wouldn’t bother me but I was really hungry :/At about 11:30 they were open but not all items were available yet… Another 20 minutes was needed for that! When our family had a restaurant many moons ago, we were there an hour early to prep just so we could be ready at opening time. In all the years we were open, we were never late. It’s just plain irresponsible. Hubs was eyeing the ramen burrito for a whopping $ 11… Kind of expensive for street side burritos but it’s borderline fusion, right? Anyways, it’s basically char siu ramen noodles in a burrito that’s been lightly browned. Not a bad idea, I must admit. Hubs now established it a weekly tradition. We also ordered the burrito Cochino. This sucker was HUGE!!! I mean two meals big! I couldn’t enjoy it much since it was too spicy for my taste. Hubs inhaled it though. The carnitas tacos were a mere $ 1.50 each and were tiny and simple. Grilled meat, raw onions, cilantro, in a sauce less tortilla. Not bad but not terribly filling either. The chicken quesadillas weren’t too shabby. My kids split one and enjoyed it immensely. I understand that everything is made fresh and that warrants the long wait time but 20 minutes is quite long when you’re waiting in the hot sun. I’d suggest more efficiency to reduce the wait time. After all, it’s a food truck, not a sit down establishment. My kids, like many kids have a hard time waiting 20 minutes when they’re hungry.

Stopped by after reading such great reviews… Tried out their steak burrito and chicken tacos. The food was just ok, the portions were rather small for the price. Like another reviewer mentioned food takes a while. Servers were friendly and very busy. Bottom line… If you have lots of time(ie not on your lunch hour), and don’t mind splurging on tiny portions this place isn’t so bad.

They are the best! Tacochino is one of the best if not the only taco truck that stands out on the island! SUPERCOOL, GREATFOOD, GREATPRICES! The best thing about them is that they’re not sticking to a blah(basic) menu, they are always thinking of the next best thing to eat. They’ve been adding local dishes into their menu as well! I highly recommend eating at TACOCHINO, they’ll definitely win your business!

I came here for lunch today with a gf of mine. I ordered the pollo(chicken) and char Sui taco. The street style tacos were very yummy and they were made pretty quick! Nothing too fancy just basic ingredients but still tasty! It was my first time trying a char Sui taco which was bit different with Asian influence. They also sell burritos here too but I’m more of street taco girl. They are located right on the corner and sorta across street from Kapolei public library and right next to the park.

Passing by kapolei, saw you guys and decided to give it a try! I am impressed! :) I would post a picture but there’s nothing but an empty plate in front of me! You can taste the freshness of the food. My husband LOVED the spicy sauce!(Trust me, that should tell you a lot). Looking forward to coming here again in the very near future!

I wasn’t really sure about the truck at first but I gave it a chance and I’ve gotta say that I absolutely love it. The tacos are fresh to order and they let you add extras on top of it. I prefer their mild sauce because the spicy is SPICY. Haven’t tried their burritos yet but I’m looking forward to them on my next visit! Definitely recommend for some authentic mexican food for lunch or on the go. The owners are pretty awesome guys, too.
