The Aloha Boy

This review is long overdue. I needed an eastern king platform bed frame asap. Contacted James (Kimo), who responded immediately, answered all my questions, checked and double checked we were on the same page about the order specifications, and got to work as soon as my payment hit his account. I am an interior designer and particular by nature, my standards are nearly impossible to meet, but the bed frame exceeded them. Beautifully build, beautifully finished, delivered on time and no bs, I think Kimo’s expectations, and the standards he holds himself to, might be a little higher than my own! A pleasure to do business with Aloha Boy.

This is an adventure story to find platform beds with a happy ending!
After searching high and low — local sources just had the «same old, same old» stuff and on the internet to discover that there’s no delivery service to Hawaii, the last resort was to just buy whatever was provided to the Hawaii consumer.
One last search on the internet turned up The Aloha Boy. This was a life changer! Flying in from Hilo for two-​days, it was running around trying to get everything taken care of. Texting The Aloha Boy on Sunday, it was apparent that I was interrupting a family Sunday. James Le, owner of The Aloha Boy, texted back that he would be available Sunday afternoon.
Meeting James at his shop, it was efficient with all of my questions and concerns answered. And, it was fast!
Shipping to Hilo was handled by James through Young Brothers to meet my busy travel schedule.
I followed his directions and received the shipment from Young Brothers. Set-​up was super easy with James writing and drawing step-​by-​step instructions on how everything is put together. Start to finish on the Queen platform bed frame was less than 30-​minutes! And that included me laying down to «test» my accomplishment! Yup, as I suspected from James — no creaks, no squeaks — just a good solid Queen sized platform bed frame!

First let me say that conversing with James Le was a pleasure. Very courteous, knowledgable and helpful. I had requested a bed from James that would compliment my bedroom and create that contemporary look. I had a few ideas of what I had in mind about the design, when I became uncertain about which one I wanted Mr. Le had offered suggestions to combine designs (platform style & headboard style) It not only came out perfect beyond words but the production of the bed was speedy. I have not had ANY issues with the bed at all, perfect fit for the mattress that I ordered, the height to accommodate my needs, color & quality. I have dinged the bed up a few times while arranging and it continues to look new, shockingly! I had also had two night stands to not only keep clothes but books as well, meshed perfect with the bed.
Did I say he delivers?! He delivers! You cannot even compare his pricing to other places, definitely fits anyones budget. Why go to a furniture store and settle with limited bed sets or the same high priced sets you see in all the other stores. Dealing with the headaches of prices, shipping costs and the sales representative can be stressful. I’m happy beyond words that I listened to the recommendations to go and consult James.
I read the one bad review on here and couldnt believe the unprofessionalism and comments of this person, they had to be having a bad day to begin with. Several bad days maybe. Treat people how you want to be treated! My experience with Mr. James was comforting. You get what you ask for, if you cant measure correctly then have someone who is proficient at it to do it for you. SIMPLE! Much Mahalo’s Mr. James Le for creating the art that compliments my bedroom. I couldnt be happier. I would definitely give ****** stars if that were an option. (6 stars for those who cant count) I will continue to recommend Aloha Boy to everyone I know. THANK YOU!
