Hands down the best little hidden gem ever! Great drinks, cheap eats, amazing breeze and very relaxing. The bar tender, a lady not sure if her name. The BEST service ever. This place is our new go to.

My Favorite bar on the Island! DOD can sponsor 4 Non DOD members to get on the instillation, they give you a clip board and you have to list your name and address then they let you on. Nothing to worry about as long as you don’t start a bar fight. Lots of games, darts, pool, basket ball, volley ball, corn hole, big jinga, and they have trivia nights and live bands on days. If you can get out there on a night that they are flying the C130’s that’s something fun to see. I can’t wait to go back!

The last day of 2015 and I find myself here at The Hideaway Bar on the premises of the United States Coast Guard. I got picked up after work by Jane and Aunty Pearl. Entering the club I shown my ID to the fella at the door and he says there’s no cover charge. I took notice that there’s a pool table on the left hand side along with a ATM. There’s even a bike hanging above the pool table. Walking further into the club I spot some people playing Jenga on my right side and the disc jockey playing some music ahead of me. There’s a full bar with counter seats. I noticed few high tables and chairs. Pass the counter I noticed couple individuals playing darts, a Speedball machine, and there’s a updated jukebox on the wall. I also took noticed there’s a sign above the exit door saying that the restrooms are located outside and on the left hand side. As I walked outside I noticed tables and chairs in which the patrons were relaxing. I also noticed several people tossing bean bags. Taking a stroll outside I noticed the basketball court, tennis court and a pavillion with picnic tables. There’s even a two seater swing near the pavilion. On the right hand side of the club is the volleyball court with sand. Getting back to the music… the DJ is playing nothing but club music. From Wobble Wobble to Jump by Kris Kross to Cupid Shuffle. If you feel like dancing just get up and dance. The crowd itself are mostly 20’s to 30’s with an occasional 40’s joining in. The bartenders are very attentive to the customers needs. We also ordered some late night pupus like mild chicken wings, fried pickles, and tater tots. Happy New Year everyone! Mahalo Jane for bringing Aunty Pearl and me to The Hideaway Club to spend New Year’s Eve with you. #1/200

Cheap eats and drinks. You got to have a military ID, sponsor or DOD badge. Lot of stuff to do and they usually host PPV fights. Its a little warm because there is no AC! PS: Don’t wear wranglers, a big shiny buckle and boots to the Country Jam Nights! Everyone is in slippers and shorts all the time, you will feel out of place! Yes… painfully sweaty lesson learned!

This is one of the best bars on Oahu! Open air bar with plenty to do, basketball, volleyball, pool, darts, and cornhole. Plenty of seating and tv’s to watch different sports! If you haven’t been here on a Sunday for football, you are missing out. People bring in food and they have a guy, Ski, cooking up chicken and other items on a grill! On the Coast Guard base so you will need a military i.d. or get sponsored on the base.

Yet another awesome night of Karaōke at the Hideaway Club last night, with our favorite bartender on the island, Bonnie!!! We started coming back here after a long hiatus after we met Bonnie a couple of years ago, and every time we go back, especially with Bonnie behind the bar, we are reminded of just why we love it so much. She is super friendly, makes the best drinks, and serves ‘em up like a champ even on the busiest of nights. Fun vibe at the club, too, with sand volleyball, cornhole, pool table, etc. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I have been going to The Hideaway for 7 years now and if there ever was a place fit the«Cheers» profile of ‘a place where everyone knows your name’ this is it. Two of the best bartenders work at The Hideaway, Stacy and Bonnie. They can mix any drink you want. Although you can always find Stacy around Bonnie has not been there in a while and we miss seeing her. Hopefully she will be back soon because she is the person that always remembers your name and greets you with a smiling face. The bar is a one-of-a-kind gem. It’s located on the Barbers Point Coast Guard Air Station on the west side of Oahu. While your sitting have a beer you’ll see Jayhawk’s and C-130 taking off in the background. During football season the bar opens up at 6am(for the first half of the season) and 7am(for the second half of the season) for football. They have 9TV’s and are able to show all the games. The bar is an open air bar with a large pavilion(with a stage and is available for rent through the bar), basketball court, tennis court, and a sand volleyball court. I have seen everything held at the Hideaway, from weddings to retirement ceremonies to birthdays to roller derby bouts. As I stated before, Bonnie and Stacy can mix any drink which makes he drink menu vast and they have close 15 to 20 beers on tap. The food menu is limited, just your run-of-the-mill bar food.

Great, relaxing atmosphere! Its a really chill spot and totally lives up to it’s name as it surely is a hideaway. Love how secluded it is. There is a pool table, darts, a few arcade games, a jukebox, lots of sitting areas, volleyball court w/sand, a basketball court, karaōke on Wednesday nights, tv’s throughout the bar, etc. Overall, its a great place(location & amenities), however, the customer service wasn’t great at all. Didn’t catch her name, but the bartender had zero customer service — didn’t make last calls for food, wasn’t very welcoming, and she was extremely sassy when one of the guys in our party asked if he could play a quick game on one of the arcade machines… she said, «well, I really should have gotten all of you outta here minutes ago…» Mind you, the place closes at 10 and it was 9:50…she was rude. Will the lack of customer service stop us from returning? Probably not, because the place offers everything you need in a sport’s bar, especially with the limited options here in west Oahu.

Love it. Place to chill with my crazy family. Cheap fried food, chips, play pool, darts. Nothing like a place where you can just bs and chill. Service is great. And who ever is complaining the service is cranky… come on now. You’ll be cranky too serving y’all crazy happy drunks. Just saying.

This has to be my favorite bar in the Ewa area. Sure, it’s the only bar in the area, and it’s on a coast guard base, but you could be signed in as a guest, I think? In any case it’s an awesome time for all. They offer special event parties, the old timers will tell you their war stories, and there’s grubb available if you simply must eat. The restrooms are clean, and the signage is cute. The service is great, and always willing to share a story. The seating is comfortable and there’s an open air patio next to a runway where you can play various games. If I lived any closer, I’d live here! This one’s for you Chief Master Sergeant Sullivan!

This little dive bar located on a Coast Guard base its pretty badass. If you’re in Hawaii and you have a military ID or have someone who can sponsor you on to a Coast Guard base, then make sure you roll thru here. In here you will find its selection of beer, both craft and standard, as well as bingo and country music. It sort of reminds me of an American Legion. The patrons here are very friendly and will quickly reel you into conversations about Chief Master Sergeant Sullivan. Don’t know who he was? Just look up at the helicopter above the bar and start asking questions. Of all the drinking spots I hit while I was in Hawaii, this was probably my favorite. There’s something magical how about drinking beers a few hundred feet away from a runway while the Sun sets. I’m off to Okinawa tomorrow morning and I will surely miss you, Hideaway!

This is a bar in which the definition of the name of it speaks for itself. It is definitely a hideaway. Good place to go and have a great time. Also staff is friendly.

I’m sitting in my car to write this review before I drive off. I don’t want to forget what my night was like. But, wait, how could I forget? It’s pretty damn unforgettable. It started off good. Then it got better and worse all at once. How’s this possible? Why two stars though? Well, I reallllllllllllly think it deserves 1 or maybe even 0 with how irritated I am but I simply start off with 1 star for all the activities. I loved being able to shoot some hoops and I had the option of corn hole toss and volleyball, too. Then, the second star. This star goes out to cheap drinks with mostly heavy pours. While you sip on the drinks, you get a great big breeze through the bar, too. Absolutely lovely. Oh, not too mention DJ Brand X knows how to mix! Although he can mix, no one really dances. The one or two people moving their ass are also spilling their drinks and slurping their drinks up. Gross. Anyways, with the good, there is bad. Where does this place to wrong? The bitchy bartender, the nasty single men who sit there and just rip your clothes off with their eyes instead of having a decent conversation, the mice on the floor, and the cockroaches on the wall. Seriously? Way too much negative going on all at once. The bar and seats are sticky. The cups are plastic, thank god! I can’t imagine how they would clean in this already infested mess. The signs on the walls are all crooked and the bathrooms leak water all over the floor. What’s going on here? For being on a military base I would think there would be some militant behaviors present as far as the level of cleanliness goes. I guess not. Yuck. I would go back with a group of people who like to dance and drink. I wouldn’t order food and I definitely would not sit at the bar. I’d play some«horse» on the court and get the hell out after that!

So I went with a group of friends today for the first time. It was 80s theme night. Way too much fun. We didn’t dress up but everyone was there to just relax and have a good time. No drama, there’s basketball and volleyball courts. Dj was having fun. And beer was like 4 $. So not bad at all. Will be returning.

AWESOMETIME for Cinco de Mayo at The Hideaway Club. The bar really is tucked in a «hideaway» location at the Coastie station Barbers Point. The crowd is a mix of everyone and anyone but it is military only so they are tight knit but used to transience so new faces are always treated with Aloha. Management is very solid, they run the bar well but still fun and promote a light & spirited environment. The girls that tend bar are cute, classy and will never leave you without a pleasant chat while you drink. There are no waitresses, it is walk up service but the girls waste no time keeping your drinks full. Small pupu menu if you get the munchies. They celebrate holidays with fun events, This weekend they had Pinatas, Corona girls with free giveaways, awesome drink specials and a great live band that did not over power the ability to still have a conversation. I had a fun evening, the crowd is respectfully female friendly. Additionally– the bad ass girls that do Roller Derby practice on the tennis courts so there is always derby girls hanging around after their practice ends. On weekends I think they hold corn hole tournaments if your thing is corn hole. The Hideaway Club just feels like hanging out in your neighbors back yard with your best friends! Be prepared to flash your military ID in order to park and access the bar. On Coast Guard property so BEHAVEYOURSELF and Enjoy Responsibly!!!

Great spot tucked away if you’re ever in West Oahu and you have mil base access. Prices are super cheap and the atmosphere is awesome, good music, trivia night, lots of tv’s and corn hole tournaments! Jo the manager is awesome. Plus there’s a sand volleyball court and a basketball court if you’re feeling adventurous. Not to mention you’re right across the street from an awesome beach. Definitely worth the drive if you want to get away from crowded Waikiki and enjoy a great Coast Guard bar. This place is awesome!

I really like this place a lot, minus the drive haha. The drinks are decently priced, the staff is nice, and there are many activities for you to do(pool, volleyball, basketball.) A great hangout for military! Just fyi though, don’t forget a jacket because it gets kind of chilly at night out there!

Are you in a military or have military friends? you need to be one of those to come into this bar. it’s a bar with full alcohol where it’s a really hidden place in barber’s point. you have to drive to barber’s point and follow Coral sea road. it’s like a regular bar with nice people and nice workers. make sure you have DD because you don’t want to get DUI in military base where you will get into extra trouble.
