We really enjoyed this place! The server was so nice and informative. The food was amazing, we ordered a pound of shrimp with corn and cravin fries, wings, and rice orders total was $ 28. It was definitely worth and we will be back soon. Highly recommend it!

Crawfish and fried food are good. Good enough to come back. I Unilocaled this place as I was craving crawfish and this was the closet one near me. It’s not great. but good enough to come back too if I was in the area.

Tried to call in to make a take out order but the 2 numbers I found online didn’t work. Actually, I did try and call the one they said was correct at least 4 times(the other one didn’t even ring) and no one still picked up. That’s ok, I thought maybe they were super busy??? Got there, not busy ATALL. And I asked the girl, she had no idea what their number was. And another guy confirmed. I let them know it wasn’t working. I didn’t mind waiting because work was slow that day, but I won’t be able to do that on most days. If it happened again, I’d probably just call somewhere else. I ordered the grilled catfish plate. Pretty generous portions. The catfish was grilled well but everything else was underwhelming. Reviews said great things about their fried rice but I didn’t enjoy it at all. Veggies were ok, salad was sad. Looks like they specialize in crawfish, so I’ll try them again when crawfish are back in season.

Don’t let the divey look of this place impair your quest for good Cajun fusion seafood! The gumbo is comparable to what I find in Louisiana. The oysters were fresh and plump. They have a few unique seasoning blends that should not be missed. Pricing is very fair for the serving sizes. Service tonight was fast and friendly. Plenty of TVs to watch the game and it’s BYOB! Yes, that’s right — no need to pay too much for mediocre taps. If you don’t like the beer selection, BRINGBETTERBEER!

Cajun food with an Asian twist. Egg rolls were tasty, but too thin. Cravin fried rice was good, but not worthy of the hype it gets. The best dish at our table was the fried catfish basket. Very crispy with the right amount of seasoning.

I came here because of a Groupon deal and I was not disappointed! I prefer their Garlic Butter seasoning because The House Special was wayy too sweet due to the abundance of oranges. I’m just going to say it I am not a big fan of rice or fried rice so I didn’t think anything of their cravin’ rice. My husband who loves loves fried rice thought it was alright, but not worth all the hype it gets in all the reviews. I had amazing service here! The waiter was always coming by and clearing space on our table and making sure we had everything we needed.

Yummm was in the area and we were hungry and landed here. Cravin’ fries are to die for, I can eat that everyday. It’s greasy but whaddaya expect? It’s unhealthy deliciousness. Boiled shrimp were huge. Little spicy and me and my bf didn’t like the«sweet» taste in the seasoning but that’s us. Oyster po boy was huge and delicious. Probably 2nd or 3rd best in the oyster po boys I’ve ever had and trust me, I’ve had a bunch. Overall I got full and was satisfied :) sorry about the short review, I’m mainly just leaving a review to remember about the cravin’ fries lmao

Another bookmark demolished — check! Ventured in here because of the tasty reviews regarding the cravin rice. This dish is served in a massive amount and was rather tasty. However, I wish they would split it and slash the price. No way any single person can tackle this in one sitting and idk if it reheats well. Because as I was packing 75% of my dish in a to go box, I see a string of hair tucked in the folds of my rice. WTH! My hair is short & of a different texture than that which made it in my food. I told the waiter and they took it away and made me a new one to go(the to-go version has the seafood sauce served on the side). The sitch was handled ok but I’d rather not have that experience. A tip by another Unilocaler mentions the same, they really need to do better with hair nets. That’s disgusting… Because they«made it right» I didn’t put the restaurant down and came back for another visit. This time, I went with the fried catfish & fries and got the grilled oysters since it was ½ price day. Those oysters were not grilled! They were closer to raw with some breadcrumbs & green onions on top. I know good grilled oysters, I wasn’t expecting that great of a quality but I sure wasn’t expecting raw either. Pass on that… The catfish was fried pretty well but their tartar has waaaaaaaaaaaay too much vinegar for my liking. They also subscribe to the overload on fries technique to fill people up, I hate that. The place is ran by a younger crowd, most hard working, attentive and helpful. The place is borderline A-OK, but because of that hair I’m leaning towards a 2 though I’d give an extra half if I could.

Food = good — mac n cheese bites and fried rice which everyone on Unilocal seemed to recommend Service = mediocre — a bit unpleasant but they still attempted what they thought was customer service Seating = unusually uncomfortable. Time for an upgrade Atmosphere = casual, overall just o.k.

Unilocalers led us to this place and they steered us right, this is the good stuff people! We’d eaten in this same locale about 5 or 6 years ago when it used to be a pretty good texmex place. We tried the Cajun fries, a couple cups of very good seafood gumbo, and some boudin balls. the boudin balls aren’t on the menu but all you have to do is ask for them, and you do want to ask for them, and frequently! The Cajun fries were outstanding, covering taters with a cheesy sauce loaded with shrimp and mudbugs is a match made in foodie heaven. It doesn’t hurt for them to be located right acrosss the street from one of our favorite used book stores… Katy Budget Books. We’ll definitely be back!!! Great service from Bryan, kudos.

Cravin cajun fried rice was to die for, so simple yet so good, regular fried rice with their special sauce made it soooooo good topped with shrimp and crawfish, one plate was good enough for 2 people cause it was so filling We also go the fried catfish which was good as well, fish was soft and was companied by a generous portion of fries, great customer service, surprised this place wasn’t that packed on a Saturday night Will come back!

The service and food was GREAT. Friendly waiter that really made us smile. Let me break down what we had: The shrimp po boy: perfect! So much shrimp that were perfectly breaded, the bread was nice and toasty, the pickle and veggies were a perfect portion. I asked for the spicy mayo aside. The fried rice: good, not oily so that’s a thumbs up The Cajun Ragin fries: good, a little heavy on the creamy spicy mayo but next time I’ll just ask them to go easy on it but will get again. Hot wings– parents had that and they said it was good Grilled salmon: the vegetables and rice were great, the salmon was a little bit too fishy for my taste but I’m real picky on fish. My cousin enjoyed it though The beignet sundae: sooooooooo delicious. !!! Also this place is BYOB!!! Will be coming again to try more things on the menu

Went there again on the Easter day weekend. was crowded and service was not up to the mark. The crawfish had hardly soaked in the juice; hardly cooked. Disappointed. It was not worth that 20 mile drive after all :(

My son and I dropped in here one night just to check it out since it has been in our hood for a minute. We really were expecting to try some of their crawfish but I guess they were so good that they were all out for the night! With all of the variety they have on their menu we decided to try the cravin fried rice, cravin fries, and egg rolls!!! Everything that I listed above with«cravin» in front of it consists of a creamy crab sauce which includes shrimp and crawfish tails. THATS an amazing sauce. Anything that good has got to be bad!!! This experience has caused me to have to go back for my «cravin» fix ever son often. In addition to the items mentioned above, please do not sleep on their wings. The service and the atmosphere is top shelf!!! If you’re traveling down Fry Rd, please stop by!

So you know that ESPN sports segment called«C’mon Man»? My experience at Cravin’ Cajun qualifies for a spot on that show if the show were about food and not sports. First off let me start by saying this review is solely based on the Shrimp Po-Boy. It seems other dishes here get high marks according to Unilocal reviews. My po-boy was a sad effort at achieving what it should have been. What made it a «C’mon Man» experience you ask? They use salad and or popcorn shrimp for the sandwich! This my friends is what made it such a sad attempt at this sandwich. I mean really? Seriously? Ummm Hello? Anyway, you get the picture. Speaking of picture. I’ve attached just such a thing for your viewing enjoyment. Behold my tiny somewhat fried shrimp failure. Alas, I will continue my search for the perfect po-boy I remember from the days of working in New Iberia, Louisiana.

I was turned on to this place by one of my fellow Unilocalers. He came for lunch and brought me a menu back lol. So i decided to bring my wife over for dinner. We arrived and were promptly seated. We decided on 1lb of crawfish for her and we shared an order of wings and Cravin rice. The wings were ok but the rice was amazing to us. Only one complaint which caused them to lose 1 star. The rice had a few hard clumps. My wife loved their crawfish, I think she got Garlic Butter flavor. We also had sweet tea and the glass is so big you may not be able to drink it all. That’s a good thing. All in all we liked our experience there and we got a to go order the next night and she got crawfish again and I had a shrimp po boy. It was also very good and dressed with cajun fries. I also ate lunch there the next day. I had a catfish sandwich with cajun fries. The sandwich was very good and it comes dressed with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles and a special sauce! Just like the catfish po boy! I will definitely be return for lunch with a few of my co workers or friends.

Yummy! Went there last night to try the crawfish but they were out. We settled on shrimp Diablo, which were really good and the fried seafood rice. The rice dish was excellent and cooked perfect. Loved that it was BYOB. We also ordered some corn, sausage, potatoes and a couple of blue crabs. We got them with the hot spice. The flavor was very good. The service was very friendly. I will definitely be back.

Awesome taste, good service, & reasonably priced! Very close to my home and we always pass it. Today we decided to finally stop and try it out. I’m so glad that we did! I’ve definitely found a new local spot. There is a nice selection of items. We went with the«cravin’ fries» as our appetizer. Fries with Cajun seasoning, shrimp, crawfish, spicy mayo, free onions, white onions, and some sort of white sauce. Those were flavorful and filling. We split it between the two of us. I ordered 6 Cajun wings. SUPERGREAT!!! and my boyfriend ordered a Gator Po’ Boy which came with Cajun fries. He enjoyed his meal as well. Super casual environment. Cool laid back place if you need somewhere to bring younger kids that can’t sit still lol
