My 2 daughters love here. There are 7 masters & instructer who teaches kids with love and kindness. I like their teaching styles. We enrolled 1 year contract and it costs $ 149? a month. As I know, there is a promotion like«new student special» promotion that includes 1month of lesson & free uniform for $ 59.

The training there is the best in the world. It is given by the best trainers in WTF which unlike many other schools is the only internationally recognized organization to receive a black belt from. Like anything else you get what you put into it though and if you don’t study hard, train hard and practice you may end up being a mediocre martial artist, but that’s not up to the instructors. It’s up to you. Yes everyone who has the discipline to stick with it gets promoted, but who would study tae kwon do if only the best could achieve a black belt? I know from personal experience and can whole heartedly recommend him and his school as the best investment in town for a black belt that you can keep for life and wherever you go it will be recognized as official and legitimate. WTF is the only recognized form of tae kwon do by the Olympics and that speaks for itself.

I have had three of my kids in some previous TKD schools, but I have to say that this is the WORST by far. They have had up tp three instructors(not masters) for(I have personally counted) 62 students.(!!!) If you want just a hobby or some time-killer activity, or three entertainers, entertaining you kids this schools is for you. They dont’t tech self defense, their curriculum is almost the same and totally repetitive, they do not concentrate on what TKD is. Instead they play with teddy bears or music dancing and running… VERY, VERYEXPENSIVEANDVERYCHEAPQUALITY. Must of the times they do not even turn on the AC nor the Heater to save moeny, but they are expending their saving in a new building to be able to receive another 100 or more students that they, virtually«entertain». Of course you will get you into a lenghty contract of three years and everybody is afraid of breaking it. Although under the Texas Law, you cound breake it easily if a provider does not delivery what he promised. The only thing where they are very efficient is charging you your checking account, because, they do not accept month to month payments(!!!) They will try to charge you no matter what you complain about the service they provide. This school is all about money. Of course there are many parents trying to keep«occupied» their kids, and believe me … it is very expensive to pay more than $ 100 per kid for such a low quality entertainment… ooopps, sorry, I tried to mean«service». I have not found a better school so far, but I will keep trying and when I find you I will definutely post the name and address.

Hwarang Tigers taekwondo is a business predicated on getting people into contracts of extended duration and then ignoring requests to discuss payments or contracts and refusing any responsibility in addressing changes in contract terms, such as cancellation or vacations. As long as you are happy with the classes, all is fine; the instructors are good with the kids and do lots of play(some of the classes were nothing more than throwing stuffed animals around), but be sure that your child is up for the 2 – 3 year contracts they push you into or you will be stuck when your child needs to move on or the ever changing schedules become too interruptive and difficult to meet. You will not get any response from Master Lee when it comes to contract cancellation or discussions about the business side — he absolves himself of all responsibility and demonstrates that he cares more about the money than the welfare of the children. Going on an extended vacation(in my case 2 months), his response, before the sentence describing the situation was even finished, was«You Pay!». The class times constantly change, making it difficult to get there. The class time for my 6 year old was 6:30 — 7:30 at night and in conflict with school, dinner and bedtime. I have seen kids taking belt tests who were obviously not ready, one even hurt his foot trying to do a board breaking kick he did not know how to do. Kids are pushed through the system so you can pay the test fees(that money thing again) despite not being ready. If you like having your child graduate from level to level in something with demonstrations of minimal ability and proficiency, this is for you. Be aware that your contract with Hwarang Tigers is NOT with them, but with Amerinational Management Services(AMS) of Orlando, Florida. Their BBB(Better Business Bureau) rating is «F»(the worst possible in an A-F rating system), with many outstanding complaints against them. It is an organization that exists to collect money for martial arts, like taekwondo parlors. READ the contract, think about it for a week, before signing your name. The focus here is «Money». Once you sign, you cannot escape — just do the month to month and resist the pressure to sign. Think, Read, Research — BEFORE committing. This is not just me, but many other parents have had the same misgivings and experience with Hwarang Tigers as expressed here.
