Can you say sandbox. We had a really good experience here. The server was very good at his job. Drinks full. Chips full. And joked with the kids. Quality food to boot. Give it a try, bring the kids and some wipes for them after they bury themselves in the sand.

The cutest little gem! From the Spanish homey-esque ambience, to the splendid service [thank you waiter guy for being patient with my indecisiveness whilst making my family laugh!] I was absolutely satisfied coming here and left a happy patron. Strawberry Margarita: 5⁄5. Not a fan of strawberries but this is to die for. C. Nachos: 5⁄5. Carne & Guac was separated into each chip for easy fun! Perfect portion for two people! Will return again when in Houston :)

Called to place a large to go order for the next day. No one could take my order. I called back at eleven. They needed a credit card to hold my to go order.(Who does this?) Then I go to pick up my order for 130 $ and they put no utensils serving utensils or plates in my bag! I was at my meeting and no one had anything to eat with. WTH! Called back and no one wanted to apologize or make it up to me they just didn’t want to own up and kept telling me it was my fault I should have asked for them. When clearly in your party packs it says it comes with this stuff! I will never eat here again. No one speaks English here.

Been regulars at this restaurant since it opened. Met friends for dinner and ate in bar area. When Bill arrives they’ve overcharged us for two margs. Bring to waiter’s attention who disagrees. We get manager who argues with us, then insults us by implying we were too tipsy to know what we’ve ordered! We only had 2 margs each! Refuses to remove $ 16 from our bill! For that amount he’s lost 4 loyal customers and their business. We’ve always suspected they’ve padded our bill when we’ve gone in large groups, now we know. Beware, their philosophy is «the customer knows nothing».

I have loved this place for years but this location leaves something to be desired. Of course the fajitas are great(probably my favorite place to eat fajitas) but the margaritas are over priced and weak. If you want beef fajitas then go here but if you want anything else there are better Tex-Mex restaurants around the area.

Good Tex-Mex food, but not as good as the highway 6 Lupe Tortilla location. Lupe’s has good beef fajitas, extra large tortillas, chips and charro beans, small rooms in a Mexican-themed house, and a large sandbox outside for the kids. This location gets busy, so it’s a good idea to arrive at an off-time. The food has been good every time we’ve eaten here, but not good enough to bring us back on a regular basis. IMHO, nearby Los Cucos, La Finca, and Ruthie’s offer better food. My wife enjoys the beef fajitas at Lupe Tortilla, but they don’t taste quite the same as the fajitas at the Highway 6LT location. On my last visit, I had the cilantro jalapeño chicken. The chicken could have used a bit more marinade, but was very spicy and tasty nonetheless. I also enjoyed the thick corn tortillas served on the side and a tasty queso appetizer. LT has a tequila-marinated chicken dish I want to try next time. For local Tex-Mex restaurants, LT has the best atmosphere. Tables in the restaurant are arranged in small rooms that make you feel like you are eating in someone’s house. On our last visit, we sat in a room that looked like a small, Mexican country kitchen. Younger kids love playing in the sandbox outside at LT. Not a bad place to visit if you want to enjoy a margarita while your kids tromp around in the sand.

We love coming to Lupe, but we hit it on an off day. We waited over 2 hours. The host said it would be about 45 minutes. Which we have waited close to an hour and a half before. It wasn’t that bad, but the only experience I can’t recoup from. We went on a Thursday, which wasn’t too bad, but I guess it’s one of those random days everyone wants to eat out. Haha. We will try again another time. Just don’t come here expecting to get seated right away, they have posted it. Also don’t come when you are starving. We will come back another day!

Probably some of our favorite fajitas. Wait is always horribly long, even at five o’clock. Free queso during happy hour if you can find a place to sit in the bar area. Would be four stars if it wasn’t such a hassle to go.

I am appalled!!! We are sitting here having dinner and my husband ordered the burrito dish and when it arrived it lacked flavor and was just down right awful. Our nice waiter David called the manager Roberto to our table and my husband let him know how bad the dish was but how great our waiter was and he then said I will just order something else. The manager said NO you will be charged for whatever you change it too and the burrito. And we stated but we are not going to eat a dish that is bad and he said I don’t want to argue you pay for both dishes. So we then said take back the burrito and take it off and we are leaving. So he took the burrito and said that’s fine!!! Our server David apologized when the manager left and told us that they normally make the servers pay for food that customer don’t like if something is sent back. I am escalating this to their corporate office I have never from a manager received this type of service. I WILLNOTBEBACKTOTHISLOCATION

We are fans of Lupe’s brand of TexMex and our experience with this specific location has been less than pleasant. We have visited this location twice and both visits are reviewed below (11÷29÷10): I suspect the restaurant had just opened and it appeared that the staff was working out the kinks. We arrived at 8 and it took around 30 minutes for us to get our table which isn’t too bad since that is what we were told. The kids were able to play in the yard outside while we waited. The service was chaotic but this was expected as this was new. The waiter spilled chilled water on my wife and the food came out cold. We complained to who we believed to be the manager and weren’t offered anything more than a t-shirt for our trouble. We weren’t looking for a comp but more along the lines of an apology. Very troubling experience.

Food great but 2 young Mexican hostess who didn’t speak English were extremely rude. They were high school or early 20’s. They were extremely rude to an older man in front of us! He didn’t recognize his name when called because its blurted out, mispronounced and/or sound so loud it causes artifact. They gave him a lecture on how many times they called him(3) and stated he «missed his turn and guess they will add him back to the list». He asked how long of a wait and they replied he was back on list with no answer… one young male with perfect English working there recognized what what happening and quickly intervened. Our food was great and wait staff wonderful but need mature customer friendly seating hostess without an attitude!!!

Stopped in today for a late lunch of some fajitas and play time for the kids and almost immediately knew it was a mistake. We wish we had listened to our gut and left but we stayed. Upon arrival, we were told we’d need to wait 10 – 20 minutes to be sat. However, they had multiple incomplete party tables sat. One woman sat at a table of about 20 – 25 chairs alone for the entire 30 minutes we waited. Really?! Once we were called for our table of 10(4 adults, 6 kids — 3 high chairs would be needed) we came to the hostess stand who refused to sit us until she saw all 10 of us in the tiny hostess area. Seriously?! We had 6 kids playing in the sand and our table was right by the play area. This is ridiculous. Finally, they realized their request was dumb and they sat us at our table. No high chairs were present so we ended up waiting for another 5 minutes while they tried to locate the high chairs. After sat with drinks and apps ordered, we received our very cold queso and had to ask it be replaced. Cold, runny cheese is beyond disgusting! We ordered our food and waited. And we waited, waited some more and then waited some more. 45 minutes later, our table was empty because the kids couldn’t wait any longer. Half of our plates arrived. It took another 5 or so for the other half to show up. The kids meals were cold. The rest of the food was just okay, I guess. Nothing spectacular. Definitely nothing worth an hour wait. As we were leaving, the ladies at the table behind us were raising hell because their food was also taking way too much time. I think they demanded their food be boxed & comped and the management was clearly not handling their situation professionally. They had the eyes of all the patrons on their table for quite some time. We could have done the same but we were just ready to get the heck out of dodge. And never go back!

Arrived and was told 20 minute wait. 20 minutes later was told 20 more minutes. 20 minutes later was told we were next. 30 minutes and about 10 other groups later we finally got seated only after asking for a manager. The staff did apologize because it was«crazy night.» Service was ok. 5 menus for 6 people. 5 glasses of water for 6 people. Food delivery was slow. Waiter did check on us during the meal, though. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular or amazingly better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. I had fish tacos. Good, but lacked some flavor. Could have used a great sauce. Son got beef fajitas. He said it was ok, but salty. Hubby had a burrito. He said it was ok, but he wouldn’t want to order it again. Play area for kids was a wild place. I wouldn’t let my kids in there. Some bigger kids(14 – 15 year old looking boys) were playing to rough in the area with smaller kids. There seemed to be no supervision. I had heard so much about the delicious margaritas and was disappointed. I had a frozen margarita and it was weak. Not a lot of flavor of lime or tequila. Tasted like ice. All in all– too many other options nearby that are faster service and better flavor.

This place never fails to please. Yes it’s a busy restaurant but they handle it very well. Still always filling bean cup and salsa and chips when you run out. You don’t have to wait forever on your food and the food is just always exactly what you order and so so good. Lots of great drink selections. Plenty of parking. Two sets of bathrooms. Get seated very quickly. The menu is way different from the one in Austin, that’s because this is Lupes number two which was built after the one on highway 6 started getting crazy business. They have the same concept as the highway 6 location, smaller menu and the little house that has add ons. Austin one has just as good food just not the same!!! Looks like a regular Mexican food place from outside. This location has little fire pits you can sit around and enjoy. And they also have an outdoors kiddie area-you can see the kids doing little sand slide car races from inside. Very funny. Anyway. Love this Lupes.

The food is subpar & service can vary. I’ve ordered to go food here a few times and always seem to get the wrong food. When I returned and spoke to manager, he told me I should’ve checked before I left. I’ve seen people complain while eating here… so I’ve chosen to not return to this location. The Cilantro Jalapeño Chicken is always amazing, albeit the portion size of the chicken breast is shrinking every time I visit. If you want hot and spicy, try this dish.

Plus a half a star. Now I have been here several times in the past. Every time I have been here the service was good. The food was tasty. I had very few issues if any coming to this location. The frijoles(bean dip) and chips are awesome. It’s probably one of the main reasons I return. The beef fajitas are really tasty. Certainly a four star option. And it’s rated four star because I haven’t tried enough places to say if the beef is better than other places. When it comes to the drinks. I think the margaritas are good although I’m not a HUGE drinker. I found them to be quite tasty.

We came for lunch and ordered the burrito. I asked for charro beans instead of refried beans, the manager came out asked if i was sure about my order since charro beans are soupy the burrito might be soggy. I let him know i was sure since it is smothered in gravy anyway. Low and behold it comes out with refried beans inside and the waiter just said«so». This is my favorite dish and I’ve never had a problem at any other location. I will not be returning to this location where something so simple apparently couldnt be done.

I love this place. The fajitas are the best in the area. I really enjoy the atmosphere. My favorite is the 3 pepper cheese steak. This is a must try.

I should have known better based on the Unilocal reviews, but a neighbor told me these were the best beef fajitas around. The reviews were correct, service is slow. Knowing this ahead of time means that you are aware and you are going here because you have plenty of time. This is not a place to go before heading to a movie or event. The food is okay, but nothing here stands out as awesome. From the looks of it, most people come here because there is a giant sandbox for kids to play in. You can let them run wild while dining. The beef fajitas were okay, but nowhere near the best around. They had a lime flavor to them, and they were tender. The salsa wasn’t very good and neither were the giant tortillas. With so many other better choices around, there really isn’t a need to come here, except for that sandbox.
