I never get manicures or pedicures, but I thought I would do it for fun with my sister. After my horrible experience here, you could not pay me to get my nails/toes done again. The ladies(«Lisa» and«Kathy») totally took advantage of our naïveté and the«language barrier», and proceeded to do deluxe treatments and gel based french tips even when we asked for clear, pink, plain– no gel. For example, «Lisa» asked my sister if she wanted a callus taken care of. My sister said«sure», and this was somehow approval for the deluxe wax, pedicure package. We had no idea what was supposed to be included, what wasn’t. It was a very stressful experience. What really put it over the top for me is that my lady started acting really friendly and chummy at the end putting her hand over my shoulder in the most disingenuous for a tip. It ended up costing $ 70 each. Such a tremendous waste of money. And the massage chair I was in only had one setting that I couldn’t turn off when it started. awesome. So, ff you want your manicure experience to be as relaxing as haggling with unscrupulous beggars in a 3rd world market, this is the place!

Amazing… ly bad. 2 stars for the following: –Rushed manicure. My mother-in-law and I did show up when they were already busy, but if you decide to take us on, that’s no excuse to rush it. -$ 15 for a manicure. Turns out this included paraffin wax, but it’s not something I asked for. In New York, the most I’ve paid is $ 12 for just a manicure. To top it off, she didn’t even remove the wax from under my nails. I mean, really? –I asked to keep my nails square shaped. Manicurist made it round instead. –They use one small fan that does a poor job for drying nails. They just plug it in to wherever you’re sitting. No typical drying stations. –Limited amount of quality nail polishes, only OPI and some other brand. No Essie brands. –I smudged my thumb, and instead of taking off the nail polish, the woman instead painted OVER the already smudged polish and put another top coat. In the end, this was her most fatal mistake. So, after sitting at the fan for a good amount of time(at least 15 minutes, as I waited patiently for my mother-in-law who, for some reason, had her mani done in a pedi seat even though she was not having a pedi at all.) We ended up tipping the manicurists $ 5 each. We leave and as I am window shopping and looking at things, I notice that my nail polish is all over my hands. I even get it on my water bottle and inside my purse. The rest of my nails had bubbles and were not at all smooth. Completely unacceptable! I showed my dad, who knows not one thing about beauty, and even HE was appalled! So my dad and I head back there to complain. Here’s where they get 1 star: I calmly ask for a manager and asked that the polish be taken off and that I get my money back. They try to appease me by saying they’ll re-do my messed up nails(I had 2 at this point) and they’ll make sure it’ll quick dry in 3 minutes. I politely explain that I don’t have 3 minutes(which was true, I had a dinner reservation in the city to attend to) and that I really just wanted the polish taken off, $ 15 returned, and the manicurist can keep the tip I gave her. Manicurist proceeds to start yelling at me saying she did all this work for me and doesn’t understand why I want it removed. I mentioned again that I don’t want trouble, that she could keep her $ 5 tip(keep in mind that’s 30% gratuity, as the total was $ 15!) but, no avail. She left me no choice. I end up yelling back that I was sitting there for 20 minutes and my nails never dried. My dad even got involved, saying, «Take it off NOW.» I end up getting $ 10 back and a hastily removed manicure.(I still have remnants left on my pinky. They can’t even remove things correctly.) Learn from my misfortune. AVOID X 1MILLION
