Best breakfast place in Katy. Locally owned and great supporters of the community. They have a really good chicken salad too, and a rotating lunch special.

Omg! Who doesn’t love Snappy’s! The environment is wonderful and the food is amazing! Has a nice comforting environment to match the comfort food that is served. Every time I take a bite, I can taste LOVE in this food! I love the southern hospitality waitresses that continue to walk by with their coffee pot in hand checking to make sure our cups aren’t empty. Love, love, this place. Always get the Corn Beef Hash breakfast. Their grits and hash browns are AMAZING! I always have to get both. Asking me to choose is too much!

Remember those great diners back in the 70s where you could smoke with your cup of coffee and enjoy mediocre food because you didn’t know better? Well, this is it. I was less than impressed when I wanted to give the olé«mom and pop» a try. I would hardly describe this place as one of the best in Katy. I forget that there are still places in the area that secondhand smoke is served with your waffle so walking in set the mood. I read some reviews and thought that it would be a safe bet for guests in town. Save yourself the wonderment if you’re looking for something over the bar of a very old Denny’s. Far less than impressed.

Best breakfast in Katy and great service but unfortunately smoking is still allowed without separation or exhaust. Recommend for the food but it would be nice to discontinue the smoking.

I love Snappy’s for breakfast. The food is great. There isn’t a lot of seating, and there is only 2 or 3 waitresses on staff. Still service is good. The main thing that keeps me from going more often is they allow smoking inside, and everytime I have been there, there have been about a half dozen people in there smoking. There is nothing separating the smoking section from non smoking, so the whole place is actually a smoking section.

This place is a time warp! Think small town café or small town truck stop. The menu was diverse and the food was good. People were friendly. They do have smoking in the restaurant, so be advised. The day we went, the local high school band stopped by and played in the parking lot. The owner was happy to let them pass the bucket around to raise $$$ to support the HS band. Great to see a business backing the kids! We will be back!

Best value in Katy. Friendly service and great food. I have only ever eaten breakfast there because I love breakfast food and they serve it at lunch time also. I have seen other people get lunch food however and it looks good too. Great place to get consistently good service and food.

Visiting family here in Houston area and my brother in law(local to Katy) recommended this place for breakfast! YUM!!! We loved it! Small town diner feel in downtown Katy. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good!!!

Absolutely no seating, which could be a good thing. However, all the bar seats and most tables were taken up with morbidly obese, intoxicated rednecks hitting on the all high school aged waitresses in short shorts, heavy eyeliner and red lipstick.(at 11AM) — truly an all American dinner… Tony’s in Sealy is a million times better. Better people, better food. It’s only 20 mins West on highway 36.

Good: Small town diner that is very popular with the locals. The waitresses are the best thing about this place-friendly and efficient. You can’t go wrong with breakfast whether you get biscuits and gravy or the Greek. Bad: Smoke and lots of it! Quantity in food does not make up for quality. Coffee is tasteless. Ugly: Dirty. From the sidewalk outside to the ceiling and vents, cheap and sticky furniture and gross, need a complete re-do bathrooms. I have never seen the floors waxed. And yes, I am here a lot due to the boys in my family.

I do not even know where to start. Customers smoking in my face. I was going to say something until the owner /manager fired up a smoke as well. VERY disgusting and unprofessional — now my chest hurts after leaving — come on City of Katy it is 2015BANSMOKING! Food was NOT good, think bad cafeteria. Chicken did not tast right to me… sides were low quality — keep driving save a lung.

Ok dinner food but the smoking will never have us going back. I feel like the old days leaving the club with at smoker smell. Go to Franks on hwy 6 or waffle house to have the same food with no smoke. Staff is just under friendly.

This is our favorite place for breakfast! Friendly staff that are fast and efficient. Good home style cooking. They also set up a lunch buffet Monday thru Friday which is good as well.

I love snappys! The staff has been wonderful and these girls know how throw down! They take orders and sling em like they were military trained. I’ve met bobby multiple times and how he keeps a smile on his face doing this job day in and out is a mystery to me. Yes, they allow smoking. If you aren’t a whiny drama queen from California you’ll get over it. Most Greek style diners and small hometown restaurants in the country are the same way. You’ll get more fumes in your body sitting in traffic. This is the only Greek style breakfast diner around and they are fantastic. Keep up the amazing and efficient work!

Some at our table had breakfast(served all day), some had lunch. The breakfast people were much happier with their food. Some said the eggs were served cold, but everything else was fine. Lunch diners said bland burger, and overly crunchy chicken strips were not good. The items on the daily special buffet looked old. If you come here, stick to breakfast.

Love, love, love the fried catfish and grits here!!! I have been here several times and have never been disappointed! the staff is super nice and attentive. .. . bottomless coffee cups! cornbeef hash — soooo good! the ham steak is humongous! my boyfriend really enjoys the sausage n gravy they’ve got a huge variety of breakfast foods, including some greek favorites too. I hear the Greek omelet with gyro meat topped with tzatziki sauce is great. it is kind of a drive but well worth it!

I love breakfast, and was really happy with what I found here. Great small town vibe, waitress kept my coffee full as I read the morning paper. I had the veggie omelet which was fine. But the grits and biscuits are why I rank this place highly. Best grits I’ve had in recent memory and the biscuits were homemade, thick, and delicious. Will be back for sure.

There isnt much not to like about Snappy’s, from the retro looking staff to the retro looking furniture. Of course the pieces fits the time period well in this town. Everything seems to be the back drop of a 70’s grocery commercial. While the Snappy café is known for breakfasts and catering to a large devoted following of golfers on the weekends, it’s never the less the best dinner in Katy. The food here is just honestly simple and good, I doubt anyone can do better at home. get in line point at what you want and find a table and work it. Good people, great food, at a cost that will make anyone smile even if they have to pick up the check.
