Excellent customer service. I was looking to buy a new ski jacket and was approached by so many helpful staff members who were very knowledgeable. The managers, Trey and Jose, are also extremely friendly and helpful. I will be back!

This is the place for cyclists. I bought my bike at the other bike shop in Katy, but take it to S&S for service. Great service at honest prices.
S&S carries Fuji, Raleigh and other bike brands. Although I never purchased a bike here, I overheard the service guy tell some people today that they offer a $ 20 «flat tire» service for the life of the bike, which includes tubes and labor.
There are usually sales, but some items are expensive brands to begin with, so know what you are getting when you compare to other stores such as Academy. I have purchased bike gear, snowboarding pants and some toe shoes at this location… quality products on every purchase. Great product selection. Service could be a little better at times, but if you flag someone down, they will help you.

This is a nice store and the staff appear to be very friendly. Maybe a little too friendly where you cant go two minutes without someone approaching you. I would like to shop here but WOW the prices are outrageous. I have compared S&S shoe prices with Academy and they always seem to be around $ 20 higher even when they are on a sale. Spend your money as you like but I will buy somewhere else.

We went here looking to buy 2 bicycles. After 20 minutes of watching the employees shoot the breeze, telling us they would be with us shortly, we left. Ended up purchasing our bicycles at Performance Bikes instead.

I’ve stepped in several times and it has always been a pleasant experience for me. There is quite a voluminous array of biking, swimming and other sporting goods sure to fit your needs! Everything is always very clean and organized-​which is helpful while shopping (one of my main complaints about stores like Ross).
Recently, I had an absolutely phenomenal shopping experience at the Katy Mills location. I went in to buy a new pair of TOMS (so comfy for walking or even an easy-​going bike ride around the neighborhood!) and was immediately greeted by a pleasant man who seemed eager to assist me with whatever I needed. Even better, he described himself as a self proclaimed TOMS expert! Although I felt that I knew enough about the shoes, he helped me find the pair I wanted in my size, and even made some terrific suggestions to me regarding to care and wash of my TOMS, which have ended up being truly effective thus far. He kept a smile on his face the entire time and was easy to speak to. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten him name but he really did make my experience 10 times better and he definitely seemed as if he actually wanted to help me and any other customers. Certainly some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced!

I usually find stores in this mall to be lacking in some ways, likely because they are typically «outlets» of their other stores.
I think I can say the opposite when I compare this Sun & Ski to others I’ve visited. I find this branch typically has a larger selection of merchandise (and maybe it’s because it’s an outlet) and can easily find what I want here. I’ve gotten gear here for biking, swimming, hiking and even for my upcoming trip to Alaska (thermals can be hard to find in Houston).
They do tend to rotate their goods by the season though, so I can admit I’ve been occasionally disappointed and not found what I’m looking for or they have it in such low quantities that my size isn’t there. But when I do find what I need, it all works out.
