I actually like this location. It’s convenient and nearby. In addition there’s a lot of selection of toys compared to the other places that I’ve been too. I managed to get what I was looking for.

This place is EXTREMELY messy. More than you’d normally expect from a toy store. Surrounding areas are ugly as well. They should re-pave those streets and invest in nicer landscaping.

1st off I LOVETRU!!! But… Today I went into the store to return an item, and with my receipt you wanted my drivers licence and my home phone number and address. I am a former GM at TRU. And this was NEVER apart of the return program, as I informed the cashier helping me, she claims this is a new system that TRU has put in motion, and that they(the cashiers) are timed and graded on this processes. What is going on that you feel the need to have my PERSONAL information in order to return a TOY. That is my personal info, you don’t need to have all that information for a return with a receipt. Now If I didn’t have the receipt then I would understand BUTTRU will not allow you to return a toy unless you do have a receipt, so this practice makes no sense to me, I’d like to know, as a PAYING customer why is my information being taken down into a computer system when I had my receipt !! I LOVETRU and the toys I can get there, but if you are going to start collecting information that is none of your business then I will give my business and money to other companies. And I will be informing my friends and family of this NEWPOLICY.

Ugh. The only reason I come here is because they have a big selection of toys, good sales sometimes and it’s fun for my kiddo to roam around finding new things. The deals can be great, but you have to look at your receipt very carefully. Every single time I’ve come here, the cash register misses at least one sale item and they must refund me after the transaction. It happens so much, it’s hard to believe that it’s not a store policy, or otherwise their technology needs a serious overhaul. And there seem to be an adequate amount of workers around the store but checkouts are always excruciatingly slow, with only one or two checkouts open with several people in line.

I like this store a lot. It’s convenient, near Katy Mills Mall. They have a decent selection of toys and clothes for young children. You’ll find trains, legos, puzzles, dolls, Leapfrog, infant toys, stuffed animals, dolls, bikes, crafts, and more. Their Koala brand clothes and shoes are better than Wal Mart or Target, probably about the caliber of The Children’s Place. My little girl has fat feet, and the Koala shoes are the only ones that fit her well. If there is a sale, and the discount is to be made at the register, BESURE to tell the cashier before he or she charges you. I have yet to find a cashier who knows what to do when there is a «percent off» sale on kids’ clothing. One even said, «Oh no. Why didn’t you tell me? You should have told me!» I had to wait in another line for a refund. I was a little annoyed that my time was wasted, and that I was blamed! The next time I was ready, and I told the cashier that the clothes were marked 40% off. She had almost no personality, but she was nice. She scanned them and informed me that the items were not ringing up with the discount. She called the manager over, who appeared to be about 19 years-old. He was helpful, and told her that she needed to scan a coupon in the drawer. Why didn’t someone tell her this at the start of her shift? Perhaps there’s an organizational problem. Anyway, the young manager was really helpful. My suggestion to Toys R Us is to tell your employees how to ring up sale items. I have the same problem at Babies R Us. To the cashier, smile and be a little more lively. To the manager, you have beautiful blue eyes, but consider getting a hair cut. Love the store, and I’ll be back. :)
