Maybe it was just the breakfast tacos I had but it was just okay. It was literally dripping grease, my eggs looked like it was eggs that were sitting up and the cheese wasn’t even melted. I honestly couldn’t taste anything other than corn tortilla. Like I said maybe it was just mine. The guy who gave me my food had an attitude I didn’t know it was okay to roll your eyes at people I’m sorry I didn’t know what type of salsa you had. The place was clean and the lady who originally took my order was so sweet. If it was solely based on those two aspects five stars.

As a California transplant, when I order Mexican food I’m very picky about it. Tex-Mex is fine if you want a cuisine that is in no way Mexican, but if you want the real deal you should try this place instead. The burritos are always on point, huaraches and tacos also don’t disappoint, charro beans are some of the best I’ve had, tostadas have become one of my go-to dishes — there’s really no way you can go wrong with their menu. The only thing I haven’t tried here is breakfast, and based on the reviews I’ve seen I definitely want to! The customer service is also good, very friendly family that owns the place and always makes you feel like a guest, not just a customer. One last tip, you have to try the red salsa with roasted chillies, it makes their great food taste even better!

Man I feel like I am throwing these stars everywhere today! But Yuriria has definitely earned its stars. I never use to frequent Mexican joints but this place has earned its place in my rotation. The prices are a little bit higher than other taquerias(I’m really only it comparing it to 2 other places I’ve been to) but we’re talking about like 50 cents here. The tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are what I’ve had and they have been on point every time. Everything comes stuffed with ingredients and the flavor is in every bite. The gentleman in the back(guessing he’s the owner) really takes customer service seriously. The last time I was there I didn’t even notice that 10 minutes of my life had been wasted on a phone app and had yet to receive my order. He promptly addressed the issue and I left out with a smile. Quality stuff and I think the parking lot being full during dinner time is a testimonial in itself. Horchata isn’t bad either!

My 3rd time here in 2 days, if that doesn’t tell you how good it is. Then go in and try it. Legit homemade Mexican food made with LOVE! My new go-to spot

This is probably my favorite taco spot now. Reason: the staff are extremely friendly, especially the owners son. We had a nice conversation while he was taking my order and while the cooks were preparing our tacos. I ordered the barbecoa taco, and the fajita taco. When I tell you the flavors were not lacking, I mean it. The fajita isn’t your typical fajita, it was more like little steak chunks but still delicious. My brother and son ate bean and cheese and I had a bite of my younger sons and the beans were so GOOD!!! I got 7 tacos and my total was about $ 14 and we were all FULL! The place was clean and you can see the cooks while they prepare your food! Even their homemade sauces were delicious, we enjoyed the red sauce the most! This place was so affordable and delicious. We will surely be ordering from here again soon. Best tacos in the Katy area for sure!

Go to place in the Katy area whenever I want some good authentic Mexican breakfast and/or lunch. the owner is great and you will usually see him around the restaurant helping out his staff who are also very polite and attentive. I always order La Mexicana which is a huge breakfast taco stuffed with scrambled eggs, sautéed onions, and spicy chile peppers and add to it some fresh avocados, refried beans, and white Mexican cheese. Yum all I need are two of these to keep me full all day! Top it off with some spicy green tomatillo sauce and accompany it with an agua Fresca like agua de jamaica or horchata and you are set! keep in mind that these people close during Christmas break for about 2 weeks(I know, brutal!). As far as the food being bland it’s made to serve you so if you ask them for extra salt and pepper they will always do it for you. Or do what I do and add the sides(avocado, cheese, beans) that’s what they’re there for to add flavor to your life! The owner of this place started off w just a taco truck on the corner on Morton and fry and has now made his dream come true by opening up his own successful taqueria. He is passionate about the food he makes and is always trying and researching new taquerias and hot spots in order to keep up with the competition and renovate his own place. He’s dedicated to excellent customer service and it shows.

First time here, did not know that you pay first, lol. The fajita tacos looked good regular size tortillas. I ordered the huaraches AL pastor, a bit smaller than the pictures on Unilocal, meat needed a bit of seasoning. Paid 40 bucks for 2 huaraches, 7 tacos and 3 drinks. Don’t know maybe next time. A bit disappointed because this place has good reviews.

Plan and simple, this is the best breakfast burrito in the area! They have homemade sauces that absolutely kill it. The chorizo is amazing. I have tried all the the places in a 10 mile radius and nothing is better. Small place in a strip plaza and not really good for groups, but maybe 4 – 6 people is ok. Must have if you love breakfast burritos!

A hole in the wall taqueria spot. Fairly clean establishment with friendly staffs to take your order. I have to say the items on the menu is a hit or miss depending on what you order. We ordered: Chicken quesadilla(4⁄5): The chicken was soft and the ingredients were fresh. The chicken quesadilla was a little cheesy but it was enough cheese to stop the ingredients from falling out. Beef quesadilla(3⁄5): The beef quesadilla had little to no cheese. I felt as if I was eating a taco with all the ingredients falling out. Chorizo taco(1⁄5): I really wanted to like this taco but it was just too greasy and salty for me. When I say greasy, there was a puddle of oil in the wrapped foil. Surprisingly my friend said the chorizo was his favorite but I have to disagree. It was like eating straight up grease. Such a disappointment. Barbacoa taco(4⁄5): YESSS! The meat is so soft and it was delicious! This was my favorite taco from this place. Beef taco(2⁄5): The meat in the taco was plain and dry. It was okay to eat. As for price, it’s a little more pricey than other taquerias. I would come again only for their chicken quesadillas and barbacoa tacos.

I LOVE tacos, LOVE them! So I decided to stop by and give this place a shot after reading others reviews. I fell in love all over again. Great fajita tacos, needed some salt, BUT overall fast and fresh. The service was also fantastic. I told my compadre at the counter when ordering, that it was my first time in. That I was looking for a place to call my own. He thanked me for giving them a shot and proceeded to wow me with their service. He showed me their condiment bar after placing my order and recommended his favorite salsa. I got my tacos within a few minutes. Then after a couple of bites, the same gentlemen brought me a sample of their rice and beans. They were pretty tasty, given the fact that I miss my mothers’ rice and beans. Needless to say, I left my plates practically clean :) I will be back very soon! Definitely, give this place a shot. They will not disappoint you!

This is definitively one of the best taquerias in Katy!!! I highly recommend upgrading to a large drink because there is only a $ 0.50 difference between the regular and large agua fresca cup. The service was OK, but they had my order ready within 5 minutes. The menu items might be slightly overpriced, but the quality is worth every penny! My gordita was very fresh, and the filling was not overgreasy, unlike many cheap taquerias around town. For those who love spicy, I highly recommend the habanero red onion sauce(see salsa guide pic). It was hot enough to add spiciness to my meal, yet subtle enough to not overpower the other flavors. IMO, this is one of the best kept secrets in Katy north of I-10. It is a gem surrounded by bland fast-food joints and mediocre taqueria stands.

I came here based off Unilocal reviews since I was in the area over the weekend. The restaurant looks like a pretty standard taqueria once you walk in. After quickly looking over the menu on the wall above the registers, I settled on the huarache campechano since it looked and sounded tasty. Boy was I right. It was cheesy, greasy, filling, meaty goodness. What more could you ask for. I added avocado to mine for an extra 75c. I will definitely come back if I’m in the area to try one of the other meats. My friend just had the fajita and barbacoa tacos and noted that the meat seemed a little overcooked. I believe they pre-cook the meat, then when a taco is ordered, they re-heat the meat(make it crispy) on the flat-top along with heating the tortilla. They have a salsa bar right past the counter on the way to the restrooms with about 6 different items. I tried all of the salsas, jalapenos and pickled red onions with habanero peppers which was supposed to be the spiciest of the 6. It was ok, but I really preferred the green salsa. It is similar to the green salsa you would get at a typical taco truck. Spicy and flavorful.
