Zen Hookah Lounge

I’ve been going to zen hookah lounge for the past 3 years. Every experience I had here was completely amazing. The manager, Malik is respectable man. He takes care of customers with perfection. Zen hookah lounge is one of the only place in town that is open after hours until 5am everyday. Experience is always amazing.

It just keeps getting better every time i come! I love the people that run it. As a guy that has smoked all over this place. Really knows how to do it right!

Came in a few times before, and didn’t like my experience. Staff was rude and wasn’t so attentive. (year and a half ago)
Today I came in because this was the only hookah bar opened at 3 am & the service I received was incredible. Owner is an awesome person & the environment was much more relaxed. Hookah lasted us about two hours and overall had a great experience. Will definitely be coming here a lot more often now.

Really like the ambiance in here. I want to be able to relax and chill when I smoke, and the setting is great for it. Malik was super nice and helpful and had great customer service. Will most definitely come back.

We showed up around midnight last week and didn’t even know if the place was open due to the minimal amount of people and their «open» sign being shut off. We couldn’t tell who worked there so we sat down and got approached by a random guy that was dressed like a rancher. He said he took the time from his real job to help the owner with the staff. It wasn’t a big deal, but the presentation would have helped if we were able to distinguish the staff from customers given the proper attire. We asked him about some of the flavors and he hadn’t tried most of them which was disappointing. Regardless, he was very attentive and helpful. The shisha was smooth, but was overpriced for $ 20. It lasted about an hour and the flavor was okay. This place is alright if you’re in town, but there’s definitely better places out there.

The staff seemed nice enough, but super lazy. The people that gave this place 4 stars have never seen it with the lights on. The tables are filthy and the couches are an absolute mess. This place is soooo dirty, I shudder to think what the condition of the hookahs are. I would never order from the food menu because I guarantee the kitchen isn’t much better.

Wow, if your comment is indicative with they way you run your establishment, then people should stay away. You are a rude and disrespectful prick. I was in your establishment a year ago, Unilocal,for some reason deleted my review with no reasonable explanation, so I re-​posted it.
Great, you’ve remodeled, so maybe its a better establishment and cleaner. You could have sent me a polite, and personal message stating that. I would have promptly apologized and removed my review, but instead you decided to personally attack me and be a DICK, so my review stands. You have no idea how to run a business and talk to people. When I went there, I was handed a menu, so I was under the assumption you had a kitchen, the place was dirty, so we left. It wasn’t a fake review and I’m not a troll. Read before spewing hate and discontent you small-​minded child. The only troll, is you Sir and with your attitude I wouldn’t send my dog there.

By far the best hookah in Texas! I’ve been to many hookah cafes in Houston and around Texas but no one seems to have the same quality stuff like they do here.

They have a $ 10 hookah session offer that caught my eye and drew me to this place. I get there and mention the discount and I get «Oh, we don’t honor that discount, it’s old and we haven’t taken it down. Not many people go on Unilocal anymore.» I ask the young high school kid to go back and ask his manager if he’d make an exception. Comes back and says he won’t honor it still, but he’ll take it down. I think it’s a BS tactic to get people in. Water is a dollar. The WHOLE place is filled with teenagers that don’t look legal to be in here. The hookah session at $ 20 is overpriced, and there are much better places to go to. The flavors are pretty good, but they were out of a lot on the Saturday we went. The coals are low quality along with the mouth pieces, which have burs that are sharp. Ventilation is also really poor inside the place so it’s very smokey. Also, they only allow FOUR PEOPLE PER HOOKAH, and we had five in our group so we needed to buy two hookahs. You’re better skipping Zen’s completely and finding another hookah bar. Not honoring the discount on their page got them the one star along with mediocre service and experience. It shows selfishness from the management/​owner and is not a way to run a business, but when you have a place filed with teens that don’t care, I guess it doesn’t matter.

Needs improvement in all areas. Two stars for the music and endless replenishment of coals. There’s too much circulation, The place is unkempt, wi-​Fi does not work, and my only two choices for beverages are Water and a Monster? Their version of the ice hose consist of plastic ductaped in the middle to hold ice bags. And to top it all off dirty couches and overpriced hookah and shisha. Maybe it’s just a bad fluke. Hopefully.

Best spot Houston for Hookah, service excellent, always great flavors available, great place to mingle and chill!

Place is really beat up. Very unhygienic. After sitting there for a while I felt sick sitting in that filth. This place has no class. Overpriced hookah.

The hookah is pretty decent, a bit overpriced. The environment is nice, not too bright not too dark. Not good for small groups (4 people) spaces are way too big, and the couches are worn down…

The staff is super friendly and chilled. You can bring food from outside and eat it there, the shisha flavors are really good, and they change your coals constantly. I like to go there to hang out with friends and chill

Amazing place for hookah. Definitely 5 stars! will definitely come here more often. A bit far from my place but totally worth it.

Went after work to relax with a shisha (6pm on a weekday). There was one person at the door who invited us in and asked if we had brought our own lighter for the coals, as someone had stolen the cafes. Couches were grungy, with plentiful holes. Found out they only had quick-​light coals (and no way to light them), and decided to get out and cut our losses. And in the end, it turned out the guy who helped us didn’t even work at Zen, but couldn’t find the person who was supposed to be on duty. Save your money for the gas go get back to Houston where there are options aplenty for decent shisha and service.

Great place, made friends! Malik the manager took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our stay. I’ll definitely be coming back as soon as I can. Do yourself a favor and go to this hookah bar!

Not much parking and hard to find on the GPS. But very friendly staff and good flavors. I recommend peach & Orange with a ice hose!
