This place has really gone down hill sense it was taken over by the theater from down the hill. I remember a time when the staff cared about the customers, but that was for a short spell between the Carmike era and what is now the Kearney Cinema 8 era. If you want to see a movie in BFE you have to go to the theater it is being shown at. You have no other choice.

this reminds me of a story. when my younger brother alex was little, he was nicknamed«suddenbarf.» suddenbarf = sudden barf = someone who just barfs, out of nowhere, all of a sudden. he was ALWAYS doing that shit. barfing, out of nowhere. it was sick, of course, but also hilarious. after a while, it didn’t phase anyone. more like, «there goes good ol’ suddenbarf… barfing.» we’d just gone to see a movie at the hilltop. we were walking outside, toward the parking lot. alex suddenbarfed. that’s really my first memory of him doing that. if you’re in kearney & you need to see a movie, my guess is that you don’t have a lot of other options. ‘sides the drive-in, anyway.
