Great food. Great service!!! This is one of my favorite restaurants. Always seated in a fair amount of time and served very quickly. Service has always been great and I’ve never had a bad or wrong meal.

The La Fuente restaurant in Kearney, MO is as I recall the first of what has grown into a metro wide chain. It has a lot of charm and is usually busy. The restaurant will be moving to a new location soon near the Kearney Price Chopper. We have frequented La Fuentes frequently over the years and enjoy the food which is standard fare for a Mexican eatery. Not bad at all and generous portions. But I have to add that the prices have risen a lot in the past few years. No longer a bargain but still good. It’s sometimes so crowded that it’s hard to get a good spot to sit at so maybe the new location will help make that less of a problem. Regardless they have a varied menu and good lunch specials on weekdays. We try a lot of area Mexican restaurants and while it’s not tops on our list, we wouldn’t mind going back to La Fuente or recommending to anyone except very picky eaters.

Our party of 13 was seated in a minimal amount of time, even though it was a busy Saturday night and we didn’t call ahead. The food and service was great! My wife said the margarita was delicious. Can’t wait to go again!

I’ll make this simple. The food here is wonderful! Big gathering of family and friends and we all loved the meals we were served. We can highly recommend La Fuente.

We stopped for lunch because of the reviews on Unilocal and totally regretted the decision. Bread on the Torta was stale, quesadilla had little cheese and nothing else. The best part of our meals were the chips and soda. We told the Manager about our meal and he pretended to speak no English. Disappointing.

Holy hole it the wall! What a great place!
We stopped here on a whim and boy am I glad we did.
I tried the new (not yet on the menu) spicy burrito with mixed chicken and steak. It was a party in my mouth that came to an end way too early.
Great place! I recommend to anyone who lives in or is passing through Kearny.

If you really love Mexican food, you will not be disappointed here. Everything we had was fresh and very delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Prices were extremely reasonable and the décor and atmosphere was lively and authentic. I promise you will enjoy the experience.

Let me count the reasons I would come back:
Cuisine: Fresh Mex!
Service: Excellent!
Atmosphere: Colorful and Authentic cheerfully painted scenes portraying caballero on horses, señoritas y Señors enjoying life to the fullest! This is by far the most colorful and cheerfully uplifting Mexiacan restaurant décor that I have ever seen. The atmosphere is authentic y Bueno!
Go hungry! Light and flaky chips with delicious salsas re served pronto!

If you hop off the highway in Kearney Mo just north of Liberty, you are in for a treat. Liberty has a million places to eat but if you are craving Mexican, stay on 35 for a little while longer and head to La Fuentes. We have loved this place since the first time we have eaten there. Great food, the entire staff is friendly, prompt, and attentive. Good is great! I have yet to try something I did not like. We are a family of 6 (4 younger kids) and this is a regular stop for us. We love it. My only criticism would be that the tables are closely packed together. But even when that place is crowded, they are cranking out the meals! Love this place and it’s and easy 5 star review for me!

We were in the area and checked with Unilocal for some place to have lunch. We hit the jackpot with this place! The food was great! And you got your moneys worth in the portions. The service was great! We didn’t have to ask for a thing, very attentive! We have a new fav place to eat! We will be back!

I just noticed that I have never provided a review of La Fuente.
I have ate here on numerous occasions and I must say their food and service is awesome. I can’t remember a time that I had a bad meal or service.
In short… friendly staff and awesome food.

Good not great. I had a combination dinner (number 14 I think) which was a taco, burrito and chili relleno. The relleno was oddly doughy. The burrito was full of grainy, dry ground beef with a very mild, slightly odd flavor. The sauce was good. It all needed A LOT more cheese. No beans and rice came with the meal. Service was excellent. Chips, salsa, and margarita all very good.

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD AROUND!
This may sound strange, but we eat here at least once a week, if not twice. The food is plentiful and delicious. Priced better than you’ll get most anywhere else.
They’ve recently added Burritos Al Pastore to their menu card at the table and the meat is just perfect.
Their margaritas come in pitchers or huge glasses and you always get a little bit extra because they bring your frozen glasses to the table half full when they bring your pitcher.
Don’t worry if you get there and there’s a huge line waiting — they will get to you soon. Service is super fast and they’re the nicest folks in town. You get what you order, your ticket reflects what you order and you feel like you’ve gotten a great deal for your $$$.
They deserve a million stars.
