My husband told me this place took over Bonanza. I used to love the salad bar there. This place is no Bonanza. Food: If you are desperate for food and this is the only place open, drive on by and opt for starvation… Your stomach will thank you. I started with the baked fish and then looked at the salad which had something that looked like bacon bits sprinkled throughout… But wasn’t sure so I passed. Every other thing on the salad bar looked a few hours past its due date, and the only other green vegetable was a pot of green beans that had been out so long they were breaking apart into a greenish mush. The fish was just OK. Chicken from the grill was worse than boiled, and the pie was tasteless and gummy. Everything else was either fried, indistinguishable as food, or both. Service: Excellent… I think she knew what slop they were pushing and tried to make up for it with a smile and full drinks. Value: If the food has been free, it still would not have made up for the gas it took to get from the interstate to the parking lot… Which wasn’t that far.

Went for lunch… Tough, chewy steak, which is sad for a place with«steak» in the name. Lots of choices for people who like really unhealthy food, significantly fewer for those who watch what they eat. Unimpressed, won’t be back. And for the reviewer who said it is basically like a Golden Corral, I disagree. I’ve actually had some pretty tasty meat and sides at the Golden Corral we had in my hometown, but didn’t find anything at this place that I’d go back for seconds on, other than some fruit. Also, only had table service stop by to refill drinks once, after we all had eaten our fill and were ready to go.

The best buffet in town, but that isn’t saying much. Basically just like a Golden Corral.
