Very transparent and prompt. Most painless experience with an auto mechanic ever. I dropped my car off for brakes and new wheel bearings. Additional things that needed attention soon were quoted on the invoice, and they were courteous and pleasant throughout. Definitely going back for my tuneup, and any other repairs I may need down the road. If you live in Kearny they are the place to go. The 40 bus even leaves you right by it. (Came in handy after I took mass transit while they were working on my vehicle.)

very rare that you can find a mechanic that doesn’t want to rip you off. this place f n rocks. I would recommend this place to any one that will listen. my last mechanic before auto center west wanted $ 500 to fix a problem I fixed in one hour for $ 12. been to ACW several times now and it is such a relief to know they are there for me if I need them. and now I know they are a AAA backed repair facility I am gonna ask for my AAA discount next time I need repair work done.

My car broke down on the highway and AAA towed it to Auto Center West. I’m not from the Kearny area and was understandably nervous about leaving my vehicle late on a Sunday night in an unfamiliar place. However my nerves subsided when I called the next day I spoke to an extremely courteous man named Gary who gave me a fair quote and fixed my car with the quality part it required — all in one day! They were even accommodating when I was running late from NYC, and waited for me to get there before they closed for the night. I couldn’t be more thankful that AAA suggested Auto Center West. This shop gets an A+ in my book.

Used this place twice so far. I find the staff very helpful and accommodating — my last i couldn’t get a friend to drive e home so the owner volunteered right away to drive me. Their pricing is reasonable for the quality of work they do. Its not the type of place to just throw cheap parts into a car, no matter the vehicles age or condition. They use the best part for the job — OEM or aftermarket.
I will continue to use them. Its tough to find a shop you trust. I can honestly say that i fully trust Auto Center West for my automotive repair needs.
