So sad. So much potential, but terrible management has driven most stores out. Still stop in for antiques at the colony mill, toadstool and the new childrens museum.

Thankfully the property is being bought by a different developer. This was such a great place in the day. Now it’s about 80% empty.

The Colony Mill Marketplace is a 170 year old restored mill with cute shops, boutiques, and eateries, which opened in 1983. I love strolling along the outside brick walkways and along the indoor hardwood floors. I enjoy shopping at cool stores such as the Toadstool Bookshop/Music, Synergy, Antiques at Colony Mill, and the Ye Goodie Shoppe, and best of all, it’s NHTAXFREE shopping! If you work up an appetite or shall I say«all shopped up,» then there’s a small food court plus La Carreta and the Elm City Brewing Company for sit down meals. Plenty of FREEPARKING out in back of the building off Island Street and Gilbo Avenue.
