Seriously… amazing food. Make sure you compare the single items vs the dinner specials. More bang for your buck! My families fav Chinese food!

Absolutely the worst food ever. The sesame beef, you may break a tooth on. Fried rice. They don’t even know what fried rice is!!! It was steamed rice with sauce and some dried up pork. BBQ pork dry tough and tasteless. General Tao chicken round fried pieces of dough with dry chicken and sauce no vegi. Never again. We took it home to be polite. Horrible food. I should have known when we drove up. Possibly by the name John’s, But we were hungry and driving home. We may have ordered the wrong thing. I don’t think so. Every dish was horrible.

Ok first of all a Chinese place called John’s? Well the food is as unauthentic as the name. I don’t even want to describe it cause it might bring back bad memories that I don’t want to relive! A friend, former player for the LA Dodgers died so I was out of sorts and stopped in here for dinner if you want to call it that and mind you I have had fish balls soup before even. All I can say is Dim Sum? No, Dim None. Bad bad bad

Excellent food. Enormous portions. I had teriyaki chicken with brown rice. Absolutely delicious. The leftovers made two more meals! Cannot beat the value.

Best Chinese in Salem area. huge portions, white meat chicken, very hot and fresh. The Mandarin Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef are all scrumptious, really good egg rolls. Love this place!

Did not eat the food, it looked unappetizing. We talked to the waitress and explained that one of the dishes was not what we wanted. She didn’t seem to eager to help, I asked her to get her manager. Told the manager the problem, they spoke Chinese at our table in front of me, I asked them to speak English! That was rude, what followed was just terrible customer service with no people skills. They told us they would not bring us a new dish and that we had to eat it. We left… Now they can eat all three dishes!!!

We love johns and we take all of our friends and out of town guest here. It’s priced right and they have the best egg flower soup ever. When you go to Johns, it feels like family.

Love their food and we have always ordered to go at least a couple times every few months for years. The last couple of times, the service has been not so great. They usually say ready in 15 minutes but lately when we go there after waiting 15 minutes, there’s another 20 minute wait. Just doesn’t seem worth it anymore.

This is one of my favorite and have not found any place in town that can compare. The food is great, not some American-hybrid cuisine either. I’ve eaten there too many times to count. There have been times the service was epic and there times we went in and it was slammed busy and it wasn’t great. I could eat here daily.

Anyone walk in this place? Wanted to try it walked in to find a disgusting mess everywhere! Floors, tables, carts w/dishes overflowing. Peeked at kitchen, which appeared the same! A big fail. I left and found food at home!

Good: noodles, veggies, sauces, beverages, prices. Bad: Service, location. Overall I had a good experience and would come again.

This place is amazing. The service is always prompt and the servers are very nice. The food is amazing. The Kung pao beef and chicken are to die for. Always delicious. Plus they have a drive thru for the call in orders.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. It was cold in some places and warm in others. You could tell the food was not fresh. The service was also really bad. I waited 30 minutes for them to bring me some cashews in a little bowl, after they forgot them in my cashew nut chicken. I will not be back.

Our fav!!! This is the best Chinese food in Keizer. We order to go here at least twice a month, the kids are huge fans of the crab puffs and the Sub gum.

Had to find a new Chinese place after Louie’s closed. This is good and fortunately much closer. The egg flower soup is delicious! I always get Johns Incredible Soup-er Bowl. It has chicken, steak, shrimp and noodles… all of my faves. I wish it was more soupy, ie more broth but it is really tasty none the less. My husband gets the Kung Pao and my kids get the subgum. They all come with sides of pork fried rice, bbq pork, shrimp. We always have left overs — the portions are plenty. If you are in the Salem-Keizer area and craving Chinese, John’s is the place to go. **Bonus, they also have a drive in window if want orders to go. SUPER convenient!

Excellent Chinese food. We called in ahead of time to do the drive-thru option, which is convenient. But be aware, there is a little bit of a language barrier. The menu lists only one price for each item, but I was asked if I wanted a large or small order of each item. We opted for the large order of each. General Tsao’s Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, and beef fried rice, along with a barbecue pork appetizer. When I rolled up, the order didn’t seem to be ready. I waited a little bit, but when the young lady returned with my credit card, she also had my order, and everything was hot. So I was okay with that. First off, it was A LOT of food. I was a little stunned by the price(over 30 bucks for two of us), but mostly that was because we ordered the large option and they included so much. The sweet and sour chicken was served as it is most places; the chicken was cut into nuggets and deep fried, with sweet & sour sauce served on the side. Only this time, it seemed like the chicken was hand-breaded. It was super flaky and incredibly delicious. The sauce was a little sweeter than I would have liked, but was very tasty. The beef fried rice was a disappointment. They put in a TON of bean sprouts. It turned what I was looking forward to(a soft, moist, rice dish) into a crispy chore of a meal. I ended up not eating it. I imagine it would have been good, but I have never seen bean sprouts in fried rice before. Ever. And didn’t expect it here. Oh well. The General Tsao’s chicken was good, and the white rice was decent. All in all, a great place to go. Except for that hiccup in the fried rice, I’d have given it five stars. A good Keizer location to check out.
