First off, they’ve moved to the Keller Town Center off of Bear Creek Pkwy; no longer on Olive in old downtown. And a great move it is! Easy to park and get in and out. The owners are sooo warm and knowledgeable. We were so comfortable as we sat down to the tasting bar and went through several oils and tapenades. Came away with a phenomenal 18 yr balsamic and a wonderful herb’d oil, as well as the«Tall» olive tapenade. You get what you pay for. They also give you a discount upon refills to your bottles later. Go in for a taste, you will not be disappointed! They have a few other items as well, mustard’s, crackers, olives, etc. Not a large store, but a fantastic one!

I had no idea how much I did not know about olive oil… or balsamic vinegar! When the very knowledgeable(and patient) owners offered to let me taste some of their oils and vinegars I was astounded at the range of flavors — and how strong my preferences were. Think of it as a wine tasting — you sample a lot, decide what you like, and grow from there. The difference between what I purchase at Olivada and what I had been getting at food stores is overwhelming — and shockingly, their great products are quite affordable — so there’s no excuse — check this place out!

Visited the store a couple of weeks ago. Great variety of Olive oils and Balsamic Vinegars + other items. I bought a wonderful 18 year old California Balsamic vinegar that has a great flavor and is almost a syrup. Goes great on any kind of salad or even on grilled veggies. Also got a Myer Lemon infused olive oil that made a great dipping sauce. Olivada brings another, greatly needed, dimension to gourmet foods in North East Tarrant County. You need to give them a visit and soon. They are closed now… ugh. What a pity.

Olivada is a locally owned specialty food shop specializing in olive oil and vinegar. They also carry a few specialty food items(stuffed olives, mustards, jellies, etc.) Olivada just recently opened(Jan 2010) in Keller and is a great addition to what is otherwise a community lacking in quality locally owned businesses. Olivada features a tasting room so that you can taste before you buy. They also offer«bulk» olive oil and vinegar. Just bring in your own bottle(or buy one there) and top it up. Prices are reasonable and the owners are very friendly and happy to share their favorites with you.
