If you’re a bargain hunter, it’s always fun to poke around Stein Mart to see what sort of deals they are offering. Their discount racks are decently stocked and carry pretty good deals on name brands(Polo, Nautica, Izod, etc.). I can usually find good dress clothes for work or formal events. There’s a decent selection of sizes and colors for fitted dress shirts, several name brands. Always check and go to the coupon section to grab their current promo. You can load it to your smartphone and have the cashier scan it there. It’s an easy way to save 20%-50% depending on the deal. There are home goods in the back, they also have a small toy section and shoes as well. I purchased a nice 28-inch 4-wheel hard shell suitcase in their luggage section several months ago. It was a Samsonite, priced normally at $ 120… I got it for $ 60. It was a great deal and it’s been a nice piece of luggage. If you are willing to hunt around for deals, it’s worth a shot to check out Stein Mart.

So I just want to say that I don’t come her often since I don’t live anywhere near the place so when I come here I tend to stay a while and browse the selections, I will say that this place is good for discounted designers for older women. That seems to be what the store is marketing towards. However it is possible to find really cute michael kors clothes there if you’re willing to do a bit of digging. Ooo and another thing to mention for the men’s section they have really nice ties that always seem to go on sale. Sometimes I’ll pick up a nice michael kors tie for about 10 maybe 11 bucks but the last time I was there I didn’t see any michael kors so maybe they no longer carry that particular brand but the ties are like gemstones compared to everything else I saw in the mens section.

It’s no wonder why Stein Mart uses actual customers in their ads just talking about how much they love Stein Mart. I genuinely think that everyone should shop here, because the deals are just too good to pass up. I have to agree with the previous poster, that I never used to consider Stein Mart, since it seems like a store that only a grandmother would love. But oh, how wrong I was. I have a rule that I never buy anything for full price if I can help it, and Stein Mart fits right in to that strategy. I can walk into the mall with $ 100 and walk out with a couple of shirts or a decent pair of jeans. At Stein Mart, and this was an ACTUAL shopping scenario, I can come out with a $ 160BCBG shirt for $ 15, two $ 50 shirts for $ 10 each, and a great pair of jeans for under $ 30. That still left me another $ 35 to stop by the home décor section, where I picked up a $ 20 vase for $ 5, and as I walked to the counter I found two Vera Bradley wallets for half-price! Seriously, $ 5 for a Vera Bradley wallet! And, for good measure, I also picked up a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses worth $ 90 for $ 10 that were super cute! And all this stuff is great quality with designer names! I constantly get compliments on my clothes that I buy from there, and everyone thinks I spent 3x’s as much at somewhere like Buckle or Dillard’s. The only downside to shopping at Stein Mart is that it has has made me hate shopping at other stores! I just can’t get my self to spend $ 70 on something I know that I can get for $ 12 at Stein Mart. My one piece of advice would be to watch for their sales, especially the«Red Dot» sales, when they will put coupons in the paper. These coupons will usually allow you to take around 25% off of prices that have already been reduced by 50−70%! «Once you go, you get it!» And it’s probably the best place ever to buy gifts and presents. Just check out their monogrammed items, gift sets, and other items throughout the store.

Don’t judge me. Don’t do it. It’s 2009. Everyone is cutting back. Malls are so yesterday. So when I told my early-60s mother that I needed new clothes she recommended I go to Stein Mart with her. Just the name gives me shivers. It sounds like something out of Golden Girls. I envision old ladies in early 90s Cadillacs heading in there hunched over walkers talking about hip replacements. The logo is boring, the locations are odd and my Mom shops there… It can’t be cool. But low and behold, a few hours later I walked out there with a pile of clothes from brands that I always buy… True Religion, English Laundry, Lucky, etc., and all at half price or less. None of them looked worn, torn, dirtied or screw ups in production. I am genuinely happy with myself(while also ashamed to say I like Stein Mart). I gave the Stein Mart in North Arlington a shot and wasn’t impressed. Didn’t have a lot of the same brands, seemed more focused at old dudes who play golf four times a week. Good for them but I don’t wear over sized polo shirts with stripes. Oh, and Stein Mart sends out coupons via email like they are going out of style. Hooray!
