Anyone who has lived anywhere for a long time has gotten connected, especially to their favorite food servers and dishes. And has probably received or shared many forms of gratuities. Did I mention, some people can’t be pleased no matter what the service or product. That out of the way. It turns out this Chef has prepared years of some of my favorite omlets, eggs benny, food of all types from Petaluma to Kville where over the years we’ve seen way too many decent restaurants fail, which my review list shows most of them have closed. Thank You Live Oak Grill!

We were very Disapointed. This was our first time eating at the Live Oak Grill in Kelseyville. Went there to eat breakfast this morning with my wife. We ordered bacon & eggs. The food was terrible. The home fries were so salty I could not eat them. The bacon was dry and not even hot. We did not complain to the waitress as we will not be going back. The service was good from our waitress & of course the bad food was not her fault.

Long time established restaurant. Step in and you think you were back in the 60s or 70s as they haven’t updated the place, probably ever. The food is good. I have only been for breakfast. Typical breakfast fare, but when did breakfast get so expensive $ 10.95 or so for bacon and eggs. I went on a Monday once and they were closed. Disappointing. They are open Wed-Sun.

I have been to Live Oak five times in the past few years. The breakfast items were always great, and service is quick. However — it is amusing, and a bit sad, on how unprofessional the wait staff can be. They give off a vibe that they really don’t want to be there and have better things to do than take your order and fill up your coffee. The last time I was there I was with a group of eight, the waitress made a group of six get up from the table and move AFTER they ordered and were served coffee. And then she told us to sit at their original table that was not cleaned off.

The best breakfast/lunch in the county! Everything is good here, especially the Homefries, but my favorite is probably the CAT(chicken, avocado and tomato). Everyone is very friendly and if you become a regular here, the owners will notice.

Live Oak Grill, oh how I remember the days when it was really good food like it was yesterday. Too bad the last handful of times that I have went it has been bad service(girls, you got to stop looking so grumpy all the time, it makes me not want to order anything), and not as good of food as it used to be. Weird hours of operation, don’t count on it being open for a late lunch. If you have to eat breakfast in Kelseyville, this is the place, but if you can wait until you get to Sanducci’s in Lakeport. Amazing!

Had the mushroom Swiss omelette. Basic diner fare but pretty damn good. The omelette was stuffed with mushroom and cheese goodness. Everything seemed fresh and was piping hot. Pretty good coffee, too.

Talk about a disappointment! We went to the live oak on a Thursday morning a few weeks ago. Not only did it take over an hour after we ordered our food to get it, we were lucky to get a servers attention periodically to get some coffee and water. My Eggs were supposed to be over easy and the yolks were cooked solid. My daughter’s scrambled eggs were 1 solid chunk and browned on either side and the pancake was still runny inside. I asked for new eggs, even being willing to pay for them and was pretty much told«you get what you get». The coffee is not good which is big in a breakfast place and our server was not friendly and acted put out when we asked for anything(like a second set of silverware) I will not be returning to this dive.

Breakfast here is top notch. Huevos Rancheros, and Eggs Blackstone FTW. Flower children are especially welcome here.

I went here with my Dad from 3 to 18, when I moved out of Kelseyville. Wow. Best breakfast in the area! We came here so often(generally every Sunday) that the waitresses knew our«usual»: Denver omelette with homefries and sourdough toast. They make a –mean– omelette here. Homefries have degraded in quality over the years; they used to be more crispy but they’re still light years ahead of most homefries at other establishments. In addition to the potato, there are also tons of herbs, onions, and peppers — order with some sour cream and it’s sooo delicious. Try to get a booth(the back is kinda eh) and count the booths from the right to the left to get your number… then watch your order go down the line so you’ll know how close or how far you are from getting your food(can you tell I came here a lot as a bored child?)
