Absolute worst restaurant in all of Kemah. Have given it too many opportunities and always disappointed. You would do better eating at Taco Bell, seriously.

We were staying at the boardwalk for the weekend and wanted breakfast on a Sunday morning but didn’t want the hassle of driving and looking for a place. Had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good. Had the huevos with bacon Mexicano. Service was very slow but waitress was friendly. View of passing sailboats was nice as we ate. Large portions of eggs and hashbrowns. Flavorful with nice bang of jalapenos. Overall well worth the money and wait.

I enjoyed the view. We were able to sit downstairs which overlooked the water and were able to see the boats pass. Plenty of good food. We were so stuffed. The margaritas were wonderful as we had 2 pitchers which was cheaper than buying 8 singles glasses.

I’m in Galveston for the weekend and stopped at Cadillac Bar. I’ve read the past reviews and decided to try my luck. Service was good and our waiter Dylan was great. He was honest and I valued his advice on what to try. I definitely had a better experience than most and I would recommend this place to anyone. Try it before you pass over it. Ask for Dylan he will take care of you

When my boyfriend told me that he wanted to go to the Cadillac Bar so that we could sit outside and watch the boats, I thought«well at least we’ll have a great view since the food and service will be bad.» Being a local, I had been here on multiple occasions and was always very disappointed in the service as well as the food. What a difference a waiter makes! MARCUS made all of the difference! He was attentive and observant — we never had to wonder about when our glasses would be filled or our needs met. Marcus was friendly and professional. The food was delicious as well — an added plus! I never write reviews, but I promised myself to write one as soon as I got home. If you venture out to Kemah and the Cadillac Bar ask to be seated at Marcus’ table. You won’t be disappointed!

First off, this was my first time coming here to eat and despite the very low ratings I checked them out anyway. There were huge lines and long wait times to eat elsewhere on the boardwalk. I liked the fact I could sit on the boardwalk and people watch. No wait at all here and there was even a band playing. Food: chips and salsa were good. I’m easy to please since I love chips and salsa. Lol I ordered the Cadillac burrito. The burrito was decent along with the rice and beans. The burrito is pretty big! I think I overstuffed myself with the chips(that’s a usual for me since I love chips and salsa). Service: Again, after reading the reviews of the poor service I came in knowing it. We had a bit of a delay initially since we sat at the table for five minutes and nobody greeted us or asked us for our drink order. We happen to notice a guy standing nearby so we notified him that nobody has taken our order yet. Sam, the manager, immediately apologized and took our drink order. He brought a server quickly. I agree with other reviews that the servers have a lot of other tables, but I didn’t feel too left out. The manager came by again to check on us and let us know that if we experience any issues to let him know. Ps…fountain drinks are $ 3.29 a pop. They can give you a cup to go but it will be a plastic cup with no lid.

PLEASEDOYOURSELF A FAVORANDDON’T COMEHERE!!! If you like Slow service, terrible food, gross drinks and hair in your salsa, then by all means… eat here. Otherwise, find somewhere else to eat. I think people continue to come here simply out of convenience! I really wanted to like this place, but it was all around horrible!!!

I came in yesterday with a large group of friends. The staff was super attentive, and made sure the kids’ food was brought out first. More importantly, the manager and staff were super helpful — I have Celiac’s disease. They made a special batch of tortilla chips and fajitas for me. Any questions or concerns I had, they addressed quickly. The server asked the chef my questions. If you have Celiacs disease, they will make you fresh chips. The queso is gluten free. Great service.

The star is only for the waitress that was nice… For a place to be authentic Mexican I wasn’t impressed. The food was bland and no seasoning at all! The machine wasn’t working to get a frozen margarita. So I had to get it on the rocks. Drink wasn’t that strong at all and It tasted like a drink from someone’s baby shower!!! When the food arrived it was wrong!!! The tamales were overcooked and very greasy!!! I’m a fan of tamales and I was ready to go! Received the ticket and it was wrong! After the waiter just looked into space when I told him it was wrong the waitress eventually came and corrected it. I won’t be going back at all!!!

First off, our waitress was nice and as helpful as she could be for the amount of tables she had but everything else was awful! We were there for over 1.5 hours and never received our dinner. When we asked for the bill because we had small children with us who have school in the morning, they brought our food out at the same time as the check. Really? The kitchen was not on point at all. The food is cheaply made at this specific location. The queso was subpar, salsa had no flavor, and the sampler platter was full of microwaveable items. This place also isn’t cheap which baffles me because the quality does not meet the price range of the items offered. On another note, there was no manager present to assist the staff or ask customers about their experience. Tillman-what the hell are you doing??? You are a very savvy business man and I am extremely disappointed that you put your name on such a shithole. For the price, you should have a properly trained staff and quality restaurant.

Sorry, but I just can’t give them more than 1 star. The staff was very nice and accommodating to swap out charro beans for vegetarian black beans, but over all the food was not good. The queso dip with chips tasted like cheep rollerskating rink out of a can style nacho cheese, and the green dipping sauce tasted like watered down grocery store«avocado dip». The fried shrimp tacos were unpalatable. I couldn’t finish them, they were so greasy and the shrimp tasted off. The black beans tasted like they were straight out of a can with no seasoning. Again, the staff was very nice, but it didn’t make up for the food.

Not a bad place. I had the crispy tacos and I thought they were pretty good. It’s hard to find crunched shells at allot of places. Service was good no problem there. Had the Cadillac Margareta, that was extremely strong. I had to water it down before I could drink it. Cost is a bit on the high side but that’s prickly because it’s on the boardwalk. All in all it was fine.

Before I begin, I must say service was on point. now for the bad: Overpriced! but that is expected given the location… lets talk food. Chips and Salsa: Blah. Salsas had no kick to it whatsoever, bland, tasteless, useless we even ordered the queso which was one step below Velveeta cheese with a few jalpoenos mixed in. 0⁄5 The tacos and enchiladas again were made as if they thawed it from the freezer and warmed it up really quick. It was a pure disgrace to Mexican food :( RUNAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. This is strictly a place you want to go if you like views. other than that you wont be getting much of anything edible.

Went there 10/31/2015 for Boo on The Board Walk and the food was not all good at all. It was raining that day and the restaurant was leaking, really unsafe. On the plus aside, the view of the water was nice.

Great seafood and traditional Mexican dishes. Nice views of the water. First of all, Landry’s Kemah Boardwalk is a wonderful place to take the kids for the day. $ 25 for an all-day ride pass, an aquarium, boat rides, carnival games and relaxing water views from six(mostly seafood) restaurants. Covered parking is $ 8. I had a friend visiting from out of town. We both have high school kids and decided to go to Kemah on a rainy Sunday. The rain was off and on that afternoon, and the boardwalk crowd was very light. After buying ride passes for the kids, my friend and I were able to grab a corner table with a good view of the water and an NFL game. Our server was Gerald, and he was awesome. Gerald came back frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. My friends weren’t really into seafood, but I was. The Cadillac served both of those needs. I was able to order a delicious ghost pepper seafood enchilada dish, while my friends ordered chicken enchiladas. My friends enjoyed their dishes. The Cadillac serves a tasty, warm salsa that I really liked. The green sauce is also good, but not very spicy… more like a watery guacamole. The yellow queso tasted very generic… not bad, but not great. The only bad thing about this place is the Landry’s prices you will pay. Yes, it does cost a bit more, but you are paying for the experience.

I would expect the servers to have some experience, at any restaurant on The Boardwalk. Our waitress clearly had never served tables before. I asked for a mug for my corona and she brought me a plastic cup that looked like it was taken from the sink.

Doesn’t deserve even one star. I wish I had my phone on me to read the Unilocal reviews before I decided to stop here last night. We walked up from the boardwalk to the seating area under the balcony. The bar only had one guest sitting at it. The bar tender immediately greeted us, was very friendly and attentive, but didn’t have much sense of urgency or common sense afterward. We had to ask for utensils and napkins and water several different times. I ordered a sangria, and my sister ordered a cocktail. Both were nicely garnished and were tasty. The sangria was not freshly made, which would’ve been nice. It was premade bottled sweet wine. We ordered the large beef nachos and a chicken quesadilla. Way overpriced for the quantity and quality. And it took way too long, literally about 40 minutes to make such simple apps. An added bonus: my mom has food poisoning from the chicken quesadilla. Me and my sister didn’t have one bite of it and are fine. DONOTEATHERE. I will never ever go back or recommend to anybody

We were starving and walked into Cadillac Bar. The host/busser sat us down, and was very friendly. He took our drink order, and even though he didn’t ask if we wanted our margaritas frozen or on the rocks, he gets an A for effort. The view is amazing! Atmosphere is perfect. The downside– the menu is blah. We ordered nachos and ended up with 6 chips and 8 little hunks of chicken. The margaritas were boring and like you would expect at any Mexican restaurant. Overall, this place is okay in a pinch.

Bless its heart, this place tries real hard! Came here while visiting Houston and decided to get out of the city and visit the Kemah Boardwalk. This was in January so it wasn’t crowded. The margarita I had was okay. The chimichanga I had was okay. The chips and salsa were actually very good. The service was okay. The place itself feels a little worn down at the heels and it could use some updates in terms of paint, décor and general maintenance. I think the look is trying to be a little«shabby chic» but it’s just kind of shabby. People were nice and the food, as mentioned, was okay. But really nothing outstanding about the place. I forgot I even ate here until Unilocal reminded me to review it.
