I was SO excited when my Husband introduced me with a spa day for Valentine’s day… he purchased this on his own. He was hoping to give me a relaxing time. I had just recently started caring for my mother after we found out she has cancer, on top of my suffering from a rare brain condition, and I’m a mom and full time college student… so YES I NEEDEDIT! I arive 10 minutes till appointment only to find out, no one could do my spa day…(was supposed to include lunch as well, so I didn’t plan my lunch) — the owner would not answer her phone, and they had one therapist… and a couple waiting for their as well… we were all turned away… with a massage free for a later date… I requested a refund… got it Tuesday. It really hurts to know this was a gift from my husband… it tore him up when I came home, no massage, facial, pedi/mani, and lunch. I’ve heard 3 conflicting stories… the one from owner, her reason for not being there, no therapist on a busy Sat spa Valentine’s special, and the reason people turned away… PAYINGCUSTOMERS, …im a local… and I have a LARGE social group… since 1994… and I believe there is a lot of untruth to the reason for people getting their Valentine’s day gifts ruined. Would NEVER: try again, recommend, and as a business owner… I don’t think they have a good work ethic or care for customers. I wasn’t upset till I talked to a friend who knows the owner and told me her reason was untruthful :( Again…word of mouth and Unilocal is great(or can be very bad for business) so run a business right… you never know who you just screwed. Wish my poor husband would have read all the bad comments on this Kemah Bella, so I could have enjoyed my Valentine’s day :(

This is the worst spa I have ever been to. The massage therapist was totally perverted and I felt uncomfortable the whole time and the facial was like an at home – cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize,(no steam, extractions, or décolleté treatment.) I might as well have had my boyfriend do this.

Just went in for my second massage with Corri. I got a Groupon for the first one and was impressed enough to go back. It was a great massage. I’m looking forward to the next one in a couple weeks. Looks like the spa has had problems in the past, but from what I have seen that is the past.

First I want to say Thank you to Marcy for the post. You are totally right about Monica! I got a massage from her today. She is AWESOME! I’ve had multiple massages all around the Country and Monica is hands down the BEST! Working 10 hrs. a day on your feet can take a toll on your body. Thank you Monica! I will be back to see you soon! :) :) :)

The massage I had was good. The facial with it was not that great. The problem was that I got there on time but had to wait for the owner to show up with the sheets! I could also hear a lot of taking in the next room during the massage.

My sister and I went to Kemah Bella to have a nice relaxing spa day together. I got a massage that was pretty good and at the same time in the dark I got my so called facial that consisted of a cleanser that was ok, a «scrub» and a mask. facial was awful I came out with the mud still on my face and had to go wash it off my self. Believe me store named brand scrubs and masks works wonders compared to this gunk they put on me. Then I also got a manicure. the girl was really sweet but she is kind of harsh on my cuticles and didn’t do a very good job. I could actually do a better job with my nails then at this place and to top off the overly priced services the manager was rude in handling with my sister and I. very unprofessional the question if we would ever come back?.. A definite NO

Too long of a story to tell, but let me just highlight– ok mani, although pretty rough. Facial not so great. Manager highly highly unprofessional and rude. I can’t believe she is a manager. I have an $ 80 credit there, not even going back. Not so much for the service but for the unprofessionalism.

I just went here to use a Groupon that I bought. It was for a package that was advertised to include a massage, facial, and mani-pedi. Well I got the massage. The facial wasn’t really anything special. something I could have done at home. There was no mani-pedi. The same guy who did the massage also gave the facial. The«mani-pedi» consisted of a foot bath, foot and hand scrub, and lotion on feet and hands. This package would not been worth the full price of $ 169. I don’t think I will be going back.

Visited Kemah Bella Spa with a group of four(we had heard of this place through Groupon, and we had each purchased a package consisting of a massage, facial, mani and pedi, with a promise of a «light meal» and a glass of wine included). The experience was almost a total disappointment. First things first — the massage was quite good. As far as I can tell, this is just a massage place that had decided to expand half-heartedly into providing other services. As for the quality of the other services… The facial was almost non-existent — a few passes of mask and moisturizer during the last few minutes of our massage(it left us wanting to wash our faces immediately). The manicures were painfully sloppy — the worst that any of us had ever experienced. One of our group even suggested stopping on the way home for nail polish remover. The space, while charming enough, is a bit dirty and is completely ill-equipped to serve as a full service spa. For example, there are no manicure or pedicure stations — just regular old chairs, with a brass container placed on the ground in front of you to soak your feet in(as you alternate throwing your feet up into your pedicurist’s lap). The communal mani/pedi area is so close to the massage rooms that we were constantly shushed for being too loud in a «whisper-only» area.(This from a place that advertises their ability to cater to groups.) Only 2 of the 4 of us were asked if we wanted a drink — yes, please. No «light meal» or even a snack was ever offered, even though there were boxes of crackers in plain view. There are no robes here. No slippers.(None of my crew is particularly girlie about these things, but we were literally walking around barefoot in puddles of pedicure water.) All in all, skip this place. If you are stuck with a Groupon for the package we bought, at least you’ll know what to expect. Enjoy your massage…

I have been seeing Monica for almost 6 months now about 1 – 2 times per month. I am a personal trainer/boot camp instructor, and my muscles and I both love and appreciate the AWESOME work she does on us! I was recently about to run a 5k run and my legs where more sore than they have been in a while! I called Monica immediatly, and she fit me right in, and she was able to get rid of all my lactic acid built up in my legs! They went from bricks to feathers, and I was ready for the track! Thanks Monica and Kemah Bella Spa!
