Great neighborhood hardware store. Quite the opposite of the big box store down the street. You will find different quality merchandise here. A shopping experience without someone trying to get you to open a credit card account. :-)

Ok here is the thing about Kemah Hardware. They have been around forever. Even with a Home Depot opening right up the street they stay open. You might ask why? Well of course they can’t compete on price really. The thing they do is specialize. They carry a lot of specialty woods and lumber. They cater to the Marine industry a lot. They also carry a lot of speciality fittings of different metals and types. All these thing you won’t find at the Home Depot. Sure you can get your typical hardware merch here but the selection is limited. It is a pretty small store so they don’t have room for a lot of variety. They do have a really big lumber yard though. Yea they got wood and they know how to use it. The staff is more knowledgeable than your typical Home Depot or lowes worker. This is a long run family business with unique and hard to find items. can’t find it at your local big box store. Then give Kemah Hardware a try.

We had keys made here. When they didn’t work, the owners were very rude about it being closing time and not wanting to fix it. Um… you messed up!!!
