Each time we shop here, this outfit is become less and less attractive for us. Just today, I) … sweet-potato price displayed $ 0.88/lb but cashier rung-up @ $ 0.98 … when I pointed-out that error, she pushed a flashing-light-button for someone to «price-check» rather than trust the customer and speed the checkout … II) The brand of gravy-mix we use has 4+ varieties, with all displaying shelf-price of $ 0.82 each, EXCEPT the flavor we selected(conveniently, deceptively?) had NO-price-displayed. The register rung-up $ 1.02 for our gravy-mix. Once again, when I pointed out the error, cashier doubted our honesty and indicated a «price-checker» would have to verify. btw: after double-checking, @ a nearby major grocery-competitor, this same mix sells for $ 0.82 ea. regular-price, but is currently On-Sale for $ 0.69 ea. III) when doing«price-matches» to a store directly across from them, cashier questioned whether the ad was from a store 15 miles away; cashier reviewed ad in detail apparently looking for a reason NOT to honor the price-matches(price-match Police?) Not wanting to wait around for the staff to get around to «price-check», we refused to buy the items with unexpected prices. Between the distrusting, condescending cashiers and the deceptive, surprise or other pricing irregularities, we do our best to do our shopping elsewhere.

I been going to this Walmart for approximately 19 years now. This Walmart use to be full with customers in many ages. But now(2016), the ratio of the youth community has dramatically decreased due to newer Walmart(s) opened near by. My point is this Walmart has been taken(somewhat) over by elderly. Service is slow. Eye vision center always helpful. Can tell some of the cashiers and stockers do not enjoy working here.

It’s worth it to us to make the trip to this location for pet food, pet toys, OTC meds, bathroom items, etc. Today, the greeter was a very nice man in a wheelchair who seemed to be enjoying his work and the gal who checked us out was very polite, friendly and professional. She didn’t have anyone in her line when we were walking up so had been busily cleaning, which I very much appreciate. I noticed other staff members cleaning things, as well. Also, it’s right across the street from Aldi’s, a discount grocery store, so we tend to hit both in one trip. The parking lot often looks like it needs some attention because this location is so close to the Gulf that the wind is always blowing and garbage gets stuck in the longer grass surrounding the parking lot.

Having only one salesperson in every department is ridiculous, especially during the holidays. Took 35 minutes to pick up an order that had been paid for. Waited another 30 minutes while a salesperson waited on another salesperson in video games. Never got waited on. Went to Target and spent $ 150.00.

I prefer to go to this Wal-Mart over any other location. I find that its very clean, organized and the employees are friendly. I don’t do a lot of grocery shopping here, but I do purchase most of our toiletries, pet foods, and electronics here. The prices on these items are really reasonable and lower than other local stores. I’m quite happy with this Wal-Mart and will continue going back.

On 12÷14÷14 around at 2pm I was checked out by Rebecca in lane 27 who apparently was tired of people putting items on the counter where she had to reach for them because she had a large empty merchandise box sitting on the counter leaving about 5 inches between the box and her scanner. I had to place my items from my basket 1 at a time on the other side of the box due to the lack of space left to put all 9 items I purchased. Some items were kind of hard to maneuver over the box to the other side by the scanner because of the setup for the compute monitor. not yet knowing the purpose to of the boxes inconvenience placement, I attempted to move it to make room for more than 1 item and Rebecca barked at me «MAAMTHEBOXISHERESOYOURITEMSAREPLACEDWHERE I CANREACHTHEM.» This woman is about 40 – 45, 5’8 and slender… in no way is she entitled special treatment due to a physical disability. I have been a cashier at 6 different retail stores over the lady 15 years before I moved up to management and corporate positions so I get it that it can take its toll on the cashiers back to do the reach-n-scan for 8 hours or more, but her solution made the process more difficult on the customer… whose comfort Is actually more important than the casiers… and her rude reaction to my moving the box over 4 inches to make room for my items was NOT okay. Rebecca from lane 27 at 2pm on December 14th2014 needs to seek other employment OUTSIDE the customer service and public environment and I will seek out the store manager to make a formal complaint the next time I’m there.

Ok, so I can admit that people can change, and I guess Walmarts can too! We stopped by here to shop just to see what the prices were like and to see what kind of selection they had. They have cleaned the place up and the people seemed very friendly, but we still spend about the same at Kroger, and truthfully, the lines move a LOT quicker and the workers and customers are friendlier. I guess if you buy a lot of snack cakes, chips, and soda, you can save money at Walmart. I don’t, so for me, Kroger is a better deal. It depends on your eating habits, and since I am REALLY trying to do better with mine, Walmart no longer fits the bill for us. It’s nice to know it’s cleaner, but still it’s not enough to make me a regular shopper.

I dropped off my vision rx a little over a week ago. I took a friend to help me decide on new frames. following my sister’s advice, I also took numerous selfies. Betty, the vision advisor was so patient and helpful. I chose a new pair of frames. Betty said it would be a couple of weeks before my «new» eyes were ready. Saturday, I received the call telling me my glasses were ready. I went back today. Betty greeted me warmly. I tried on the new specs. WOW!!! There is a whole new world of new things to see! _^^_ I am one happy kitty.

THISPLACESTINKS!!! Literally it smells. It is so yucky in there the employees are rude and don’t care to keep this place clean. There are always carts all over the lot even at 11 pm. You know that’s not a busy time why could they not bring the carts in. I’m sure everyone knows the one checkout line thing is out of control and ridiculous!!!

Went to Kemah Walmart to replace EverStart MAXX battery with a 3 year FREE replacement warranty on it, the automotive staff and supervisor in charge will not honor the warranty. After a long discussion, I have to call for the store manager before the Battery was replaced. It also took an hour and a half to test the BAD battery. I also hate the assistant managers attitude name Ken with no last name, I ask for his last name and was told they are not suppose to give that information.

Ok so I have lived almost right next to this store since it opened. It just keeps going down hill. Unclean, disorganized, cluttered. The only redeeming thing they have done in years is the McDonald s was finally rebuilt inside. The sad thing is that it was such a dirty nasty McDonalds for so long that I still can’t bring myself to eat there. The Walmart parking lot is trash strewn and disgusting and the employees many of which are nice reflect the low brow clientele who visit this location. The people watching here is top notch and sadly the employee watching is not much different. They at least used to have some nice greeters but have did away with that job. All in all I will drive farther and pay more just to avoid the eyesore 99% of the time. There is a super target and a walgreens very close. There is also a Kroger not far away. Really the fact that I would pay more rather speaks volumes since I am a bargain hunter.

I just want to start this out by saying that this location is not the closest one to me. I actually drive 5 – 10 extra minutes to Kemah to go to this Wal-Mart. It’s the only one I actually don’t mind shopping at. Things I typically hate about Wal-Mart include the insanely long checkout lines, the sheer amount of people shopping at any given time of the day, the people in general, and a public restroom that rivals some of the truck stop unisex bathrooms I’ve seen in the middle of nowhere towns. The Kemah Wal-Mart has none of these things. Sure it has people, but even when the parking lot looks full it seems like there’s hardly anyone in the store when you’re inside. If I go late at night sometimes I hardly see anyone. It’s just so pleasant. Even during holiday shopping season I don’t mind going to the Kemah Wal-Mart which is saying a lot.
