Held with the upmost respect and integrity. Undstandably people will default on their deposits and write bad reviews but we are known in the industry to always do business fairly and honorably. Example Kevin W, who’s «extracurricular hobbies» may have distorted his senses in the understanding he was the only client on the planet, and every artist in the studio revolves solely on his time and frame of mind. We can take a loss of a few hundred dollars a day because he couldn’t make his appts. We pay bills like everyone else. We don’t work, we don’t feed our families. Thanks to all our loyal and respectable clients. The garbage weeds itself out.

This place is all about tattoo perfection. I never knew how advance this industry can be. Looks like a 3D printer tattooed my arm and I’m very impressed with Tony. Up scale nice place with great service, even served me drinks and food. Made me feel very welcome. Unlike other rough places in the industry this place was like art museum. Rare. You get what you pay for here.

I’ve been tattooed all over the U.S. from Texas to Chicago. From local lesser known artists to names from LAINK like Amy Nicoletto. With all that said Tony(the shop owner) is a name that should be recognized all over. I emphasize again that he is an Artist not at Tattooist. He creates; he does not copy. If you want respectable work you will not find a better artist in Houston. He is hands down the best artist I’ve come across in houston which is why I was honored he let me film my session with for my youtube channel . You come to him with an idea and he expand it to something you will be proud to wear. When you get tattooed by Tony you are getting an exhibit/painting. He charges 150 per hr; a reasonable price for the astonishing work you will get. If you are looking for a high quality work that can be shown on par withthe pieces you seen on shows /exhibits/websites you go to an artist like Tony. He’s upfront, no nonsense, classy guy. No shady business dealings, no BS. His shop is clean and ran professionally. Ive had 2 sessions with him and can’t wait for my third. Keep up the good work.

First off, Whethered Helm is a totally different tattoo shop than what you are used to. It’s a gorgeous classy place, uniquely decorated. No pick it and stick it crap on the walls. Cali B. did amazing work on my watercolor iris. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. You truly do get what you pay for.

I saw a few good reviews about this place and I was told it was a decent place. I walked in, talked to Tony, told him my idea and paid $ 150 right there to schedule an appointment for three months down the road. Tony was very cool that day and I thought the place looked really cool. I felt good about getting a tattoo there. I got called in to work the night before my appointment, and everything at Weathered Helm went to hell. I called the number on the business card Tony had given me the night before my appointment to let them know I was at work all night and the né next night and I needed to reschedule. It went to voice mail and I left a message. I called the next day to reschedule. No answer and another voice mail. I sent an email to the email address on the business card. Then I was told if I wanted to communicate with anyone in the shop I should go through facebook. I don’t do facebook. Finally after a month or so of calling, the other artist there, Cali, told me he didn’t know why Tony wasn’t talking to me but he would do the tattoo. I was already at the point where the shop wasn’t a place I wanted to go to anymore, but Cali convinced me. And then the same shit started happening again. I didn’t keep calling. I got a $ 150 mistake at a tattoo shop without ever getting a tattoo. That’s right, Tony pocketed my money. I’ve been to a lot of shops, all over. One of my tattoos I got on Guam. I’ve been in plenty of tattoo shops, and I’ve never seen anything like this. I should have taken the advice of people telling me to stay away from the place.

I’ll get right to the point. You want some ink? You want it done by an artist not some hack. You walk in here you will see a classy place with art on the walls. No wall full of crap tattoo flash you can chose from. Bring your ideas or drawings or images. Work with one of the artist here to design you a world class tattoo. Usually just by appointment but they do take walk ins. Clean and professional. Most work is done by the hour so bring your cash. They take credit cards and even paypal! A tattoo is for life so come to this place so you get what you want and get it done right.
