This is an awesome place to train. Coach Jamal is super knowledgeable and makes you feel at home right from the start. Big sense of camaraderie among everyone.
I had never trained BJJ before so I was hesitant in the beginning but it’s been months now and I am only encouraged to keep coming back! It’s made a huge difference in my life. I have lost significant weight, I am in a lot better shape and the knowledge Jamal has shared is invaluable. Great guy too, not only as a coach but as a friend.

Jamal is one of the most heartfelt coaches in the coaching world. His accolades are huge, and so are those of his athletes but he truly cares about everyone improving, including himself. He is always looking into how he can better his school and coaching. It is fun to be a colleague and coach with Jamal, as well as share knowledge.

AllStar is one of the bet BJJ facilities in New Jersey! I have trained at many other schools and AllStar is by far the best. Jamal Patterson is one of Renzo Gracie’s first American black belts. Everyone at AllStar gets personal attention and unlike other gyms you don’t have to worry about meat heads trying to rip your arm off. Everyone is friendly and easy going. There’s also a great kids program and Muay Thai program as well.

Amazing place to train. Came in from out of town and signed up for AllStar for a few months. I was immediately treated like family and part of the team. The instructors are top notch and saw no egos from the students. Highly recommended!
