AZP Installs

Great guys and fair prices however the workmanship is severely lacking. After having new shocks installed I found multiple problems covered up. Bolt holding my sway bar in place was stripped and panels to shocks broken. Instead of letting me know they put a bunch of washers on it and it eventually started rattling so I went on a ghost chase and found the issue. Now about 9 months later my Subaru dealer found the bolts holding shock to wheel were not torqued right and could have came out while driving. Dangerous.

AZP installs is definitely a NJ gem. Their entire staff is extremely knowledgable when it comes to Subarus and the 86 twins, and their support before, during, and after the work is impeccable. Seriously, AZP is the only shop who quickly answers emails and does everything they can to help out, including dealerships.
Prices are also reasonable. While slightly inconvenient to get to from Bergen or Hudson county, it beats spending $ 150 per hour.

Great shop and guys. Did a 30k miles maintenance 2 months ago. Great prices save me a lot money. If I was doing it at the dealer probably cost me at least 1000 dollars or more lol. Motul oil what a big difference comparing to oem oil. now it start up quicker even in those cold snap days we had I thought was the damn battery about to die lol. Adam was the mechanic great and friendly guy. He thought i was in a rush cause i was there over an hour teling me soon it be done. I tell him take all your time you need I’m in no rush.
In a few days will be back doing a TPMS cloning on a set of wheels. Every place I talk to saying I dunno if I can just set program the tpms since wheels already have tpms. They say we can try hell no no thank you try what you mean try lol. Rey suggest cloning TPMS instead each time need us to program and set it.
I’m coming from all the way in Brooklyn NY. Traffic sux getting here to AZP but worth it. Been talking to this place a year didn’t start coming here since December.

Good service with years of experience dealing with Subarus. Quite a trip from my home but I usually go here to get my alignment done. Research what you would like to do and what you would like to buy, and ask if AZP carries them so they can match what you want.

I brought my 2012 wrx here a couple months ago after reading all the reviews online and I must say they live up to the reputation. I’ve been back multiple times and just wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation on all the work that they’ve done. Kamil and Rey will not steer you wrong so if you have any questions just ask them. They treat your car like it was there own. Reasonably priced and very trustworthy what more can I say.

We brought in a thirty year old Subaru GL that had seemingly massive engine issues (which, given the age of the car, didn’t seem surprising). They did an excellent job working with the car, and it turned out that we didn’t have a head gasket issue at all, it was the oil pan gasket that had flared up, allowing oil to spray into the air filter. They figured it out and fixed it, along with the front axles, which were in dire need of replacement. The guys were friendly and efficient, and provided excellent service all around. If any new issues come up, I’ll definitely be coming back here.

The most trustworthy folks to handle your car. I’ve been there 3x for regular maintenance and small issues with my subi. They were always honest with the work, price and never oversold me. Great guys!

One of the best automotive specialist shops that I have ever been — yes they are that good. Rey and the rest of the guys do top notch work and have fair prices. I recently had them perform some suspension/​drivetrain work and everything was done quickly and to my liking. If you need work done on your Subaru, you won’t be disappointed going to AZP.

Great alternative to the dealer for maintenance. They generally charge less and offer higher quality products and fluids. These guys actually spend time on the track so they know what will hold up on your car. They even found my wife’s wedding ring that fell underneath the carpet below the drivers seat! Would highly recommend!

I’ve been a customer of AZP Installs for the past 4 years and their customer service and attentiveness to detail is remarkable! First a little background to this place. AZP Installs only works on Subarus. Their work is impressive that if they had to work on Subarus and other makes, I think they would need a bigger place. It does not matter what year Subaru you have, they know how to work on all of them including the very limited Subaru SVX. Parking is a little limited when they have a lot of customers but you are allowed to park across the street of the other company lots. When you first walk in, sometimes they are super busy that they might not have someone greet you right away, but just wait a minute and either rey or someone else is sure to say hello and tend to your needs. Their waiting area has one black leather couch but while you’re waiting for your vehicle, you can play gran turismo on ps3 in one of the two custom setups they have with racing seat, steering wheel, and pedals. Also, every customer that I have encountered waiting for their cars is very nice. If I’m going to be there for 2 hours, sometimes I try to spark up conversation with other customers. I guess its that Subaru love they advertise. AZP Installs is great because they carry top notch fluids for your Subaru such as the Subaru oils to Motul, and more. The employees use their vast knowledge of real world experience with different manufactures of aftermarket parts to give you the best recommendations for aftermarket parts for your Subaru. In addition, the prices are great. If you get your car repaired anywhere else than AZP Installs, you are seriously getting ripped off. AZP has very reasonable prices for the work they do. The owner, Mike, is definitely NOT there to rip you off. They always give the best advice possible to avoid costly fees and make sure that you get the right advice all the time. Like rey says to me, if you don’t need it, we won’t recommend it. There are a few things they don’t do, like fix bent wheels or do fender rolling. But they do refer you out to the best possible people that can do so who are professionals in their field like they are. They have top notch alignment equipment as well and can do corner balancing for your car if you track it. They have tested a lot of products and fluids on their track car to give their customers real world experience as to how the products and fluids run in extreme conditions. If you have a Subaru and need to have work done to it, plus have the best customer service possible, and get the best advice for your Subaru, I would look no further than AZP Installs. I know my WRX is going to last a long time because of the meticulous care they have given my car and I know I will refer anyone of my friends/​family who have Subarus to them only.

Probably the first «garage» I’ve ever been to and got an honest diagnoses without someone trying to take my dough. Very hard to find an honest place to take your ride and not get ripped off. These guys know their stuff and it’s always a good sign to see all the other hooked up tuner cars outside. Only friendly and knowledge staff here… can’t wait be back!

They installed my rear Sway Bar as well as fixed what I had done with the front, Rey was an awesome guy and so was the mechanic. I would definitely recommend them

Referred to AZP by my friend Bill who had a lot of suspension work done to his car and all work done has been top notch. Even when my sway bars started clunking around (whiteline sways are known to do this upon initial install), I brought the car back in and they fixed free of charge. Rey is a great guy to deal with not only because he knows his stuff, but because he’s an enthusiast as well. And I can say the same for the whole staff.

I have brought my car into AZP twice in the past month and both times their services have been outstanding and quick. After they installed lowering springs on my impreza 2.5rs, AZP let me know they noticed that my subie would need new head gasket seals as well as valve cover gasket seals– which is no simple job on a boxer engine. Nonetheless they went over everything that they do when they replace the gasket seals and quoted me a price that was very reasonable– considering the amount of maintenance being done (replacing timing belt, water pump, most fluids etc). Everything went smoothly after I dropped off the car and the parts were installed in just a couple days before Rey called to let me know it was all ready.
I live an hour away from AZP but the drive is certainly worth their service. I have mainly dealt with Rey, who is very personable and nice and always willing to share some advice. AZP is honest, reliable, communicative and with out a doubt very worth going out of your way to get your subie serviced with them.

AZP is the definition of a grassroots shop. I will not take my Subaru anywhere else. I have even taken my other, non-​Subaru cars here for service because they are honest, fair, and do good work. I trust them with upgrades to my Subaru as well as regular maintenance on it & other cars. Once you find a good auto shop, don’t go anywhere else!
They are also very flexible with hours and drop offs so that works really well with my work schedule.

These guys are the best in the business. I used to get nervous when I dropped my Subaru off at the mechanic, but things changed after AZP was recommended to me. I am fully confident in their work, which is based upon their knowledge and experience. I’ve been taking my Subaru to their shop for years and will continue to do so — because they keep it running strong. They have done all my major maintenance and repairs and I’ve never been disappointed.

After searching for an autocross/​track oriented shop in the central NJ area I asked around and found out about AZP Installs. I have a project Mazda Miata I bring here religiously (even though it is a subaru specialist shop) to get track/​race prepped for the upcoming season. The guys at AZP Installs are the best at what they do; they’re very knowledgeable and honest about their work. They truly will treat your car like their own. Back when I had a Subaru, I had these guys do some work for me and boy was I a happy camper. They installed a new clutch, water pump, timing belt and idlers, up/​downpipes, PCV valve and changed the tranny fluid. I initially found them on nasioc and I am glad I did. The quality of their work is top notch, Mike gave me a good price and was always responsive by tex/​email. Adam and the other guy (forgot his name), did an excellent job installing the parts that I brought. Pricing is super reasonable, work is top notch, and their attitude is like you are having friends fix your car for you. If I get a Subie in the future, I won’t go to anyone else.
